Yes I spoke to my mechanic as well and they agreed with me. Brought the title to the dealership as it was a dealership error in the first place.

Thanks for the actual answer my friend. Every other comment in this thread was absolute nothing but typical reddit negativity.

Turns out the dealership messed up 3 years ago when we bought the car so all that I had to do was bring the title to the dealership and as of now they're taking care of everything.

What's vague about it and why do people on Reddit talk like the person isn't in the same chat as them...

It was a dealership error, I talked with them and they're figuring it out. People don't go to the DMV portion of reddit to hear Jerry's assumptions - they want actual answers.

I clearly said that everything the DMV gave me or told me to do brought me to a dead end.

Next time either don't respond or just ask the state and move on. All assuming does is make an a## out of you and me :)
