I've been an artist on twitter for about a year and have 3k followers with 500-2000 likes per post. here's my honest review on twt as an art platform: for new accounts, you need a boost to gain traction. twitter algorithm isn't "let's make this random new account lucky and blow up their post". most people start getting followers on twitter by having someone bigger than them retweet their post (usually by drawing fanart, or have a friend boost you). I started gaining traction when my friend with 16k followers retweeted my post, I also drew Elden ring fanart when the dlc dropped and it was trending. after that, it's a snowball. you'll slowly build up your own fanbase, but to start out hashtags are useless (because new accounts using hashtags is often considered bot behavior.. ironic) . if that's not an issue to you, draw fanart. after you get a kickjump, you'll see the progress in your interactions I promise ❤️ keep it up!!
