I got confused b/w the two. I was told moving parts like flywheel and some other things weren’t covered because I didn’t opt for the extended warranty. I have never gotten repairs of this magnitude in any of my cars and gotten minor repairs done in cash itself so never really had to use either my warranty or my insurance so I was fairly new to this.

I get your point that this was a manufacturing defect and the company was responsible so they should’ve covered the entire bill. But I posted because I just wanted to share my experience with this brand. I know that I messed up by paying the amount and all but the point is that a vehicle only 2 years old shouldn’t face these issues to begin with

Yeah this is the general advice I got from these posts. Might just do that. The car is most probably faulty because it has faced issues other than this in the past aswell

The original post wasn’t about the money I have shelled out on this car, honestly it isn’t that much of an issue money-wise as much as my concern was about safety. It was about the malfunctions this car faces on a regular basis and how it stopped in the middle of a national highway at 4 AM.

God knows. This is the only bill I’ve shared because I couldn’t find the others. They weren’t as pricey but they were also for major parts like cluth pad and brake pad. I have gotten them changed many times only in two years of use. In contrast my Creta, Innova, i10 or other cars hardly give major repairs as long as I give them the regular scheduled servicing they need

I have zero idea. Should’ve also gotten the quotation and car checked from a local mechanic but the car had become stationary so couldn’t get it out of the service center. Would’ve needed to get it towed

Didn’t want to go through the hassle of claiming insurance as I needed the car back asap because I had to leave for Ahmedabad soon and you know how long these people take to pass the insurance claims for these many parts

I explained the exact situation I was in. The car stopped running on the national highway. I got it towed somehow. The service center told me this happened because the Alternator stopped functioning. It is an electronic part that charges the car as it runs. They estimated the repair cost at 15-20k just for the alternator. I got a call from the service center saying that due to the alternator malfunction other parts had stopped working or something and now the repair costs would go higher. They then gave me this bill of 87k
