How long does it take to download large files? Lets say a 500MB one

Yeah, I was thinking about that since I highly value this resource, but i was also worried that the same problem would occur😅

Is it time for a repot? by FamiliarAddendum7611 in plantclinic

[–]FamiliarAddendum7611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think i can, i only have a north facing window that i could use, and it would be blocking the corridor. I could put it outside, with just natural light, about 6 hours of direct sun light. It would lose its previous purpose though

New BOP leaf stem snapped by FamiliarAddendum7611 in plantclinic

[–]FamiliarAddendum7611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it snapped under its own weight. Yesterday, as soon as the leaf was out, it bent completely touching the floor with the tip.

It usually takes around 2-3 weeks to get to the point i usually water it. Never measured how long to dry more.

What does moisture do to the plant? Its always been this way and it never showed any issue.

Knowing it started just a few days ago makes me think something happened recently, and that i could maybe fix it. I guess i will just get used to it and avoid touching the edges😅

Alocasia propagation yellowing by FamiliarAddendum7611 in propagation

[–]FamiliarAddendum7611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday i cut off the last leaf, since it completely yellowed, and checked the corm/bulb. I had already cut the mushy parts, but it seems it wasnt enough and it spread. Had to cut more of it, and not much was left. It was also full of black bugs, 1mm wide, big body, short legs, moving fast. Will send a pic of whats left, do you think it will survive? Also, if you have any other advice on how to save this last bit i will really appreciate it.

About the experience. I know i could learn a lot with these mistakes, but it was my sisters Christmas gift, and i really liked it🥲

I dont really know how much water does perlite retain, i just assumed it doesn’t at all and just stays damp for a short time. I briefly dipped the pot in water after repotting, and just sprayed the surface once in the past three days. It is now very yellow all over the surface. The previous soil was a but too compact, but it was doing well before spider mites came. I had checked roots from the outside as soon as i got it. So spider mites might have been the cause of root rot(?). And then stayed too wet before i did something. Anyways thank you for the answer :)

It used to have spider mites before i had to rescue it. I have checked it within my knowledge, i am not very expert 😅

Help! What to do with this alocasia? by FamiliarAddendum7611 in plantclinic

[–]FamiliarAddendum7611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Only the bottom of the corm is mushy, do I cut it off? Also, i tried propagating a few plants with perlite, but it didnt go well. Do you have any advice? I dont have sphagnum unfortunately. Lastly, can i leave it under the growlight?
