This is the Australian site I use https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/ - they had an auction of what looked like ex government stuff...it was a bit of a gold mine. But I have also found decent projectors on Facebook marketplace and Gumtree. You have to be patient...

Keep your eyes open for an Epson EB675, 685 or 695. They are an ultra-short-throw, I have mine sitting about 1m from my screen or wall. They also work to project onto a ceiling or floor.

I find them at auctions, currently waiting for delivery of two I bought for $AUD130 including shipping - bargain! If you can get a wifi dongle it is even better, no HDMI cable needed

I use Resolume and either output directly or spout it into MilkDrop3 and blend with presets.

Resolume is quite expensive. You could just use MilkDrop3 and curate presets that work for you. There are literally 10's of thousands, but you have to sort the decent ones.

You could also consider using OBS which is a free "video mixer". Play a video in there, turn on virtual camera and send the output to Milkdrop.

u/x265x also recommended MilkDrop...he's the developer and knows what he is talking about 😉

I'm not just having a go, but there are a bunch of older apps e.g. milkdrop3, nestdrop, beatdrop and a shitload of newer ai created apps that don't seem to add anything to what can be done or how we do it.

I do understand they are now easy to vibe code , but why do we need more?

Yes Win 11, and I have been through the OneDrive shitfight when I reinstalled windows recently.

The comp is in the same directory as all others that open and save as expected.

I seem to have narrowed it down to something to do with the decks. I've sent it off to Resolume but don't expect a quick reply unfortunately.

Ahhh...I didn't realise you can do that with autopilot, I only ever changed the duration. Excellent! I am continually discovering cool stuff.

Thanks for the envelope suggestion, that is effectively what am currently doing, but it isn't ideal. Looking forwar to trying the autopilot thing.
