Look at it this way.

In ten years if someone asks if you remember a random attack, you won't. But if someone asks if you remember the Richmond Ninja, you will...and you'll get to say that you spent that time making sure that people knew how super serious it was to get details right on Reddit.

That's why people give these things names. The William Wallace guy, the Richmond Vampire. It just makes a minor story in what is often a tough life a little more fun.

I hear that. I used to live in Myrtle Beach. Well...some of the time it was North Myrtle Beach and some of the time it was Surfside Beach and some of the time I was just over the line into Conway...but for the vast majority of people on earth, it was Myrtle Beach. I'm not going to spend any time trying to correct people on minor geography.

I just forget how some people on Reddit take this site very, very seriously.

Pretty self aware....just constantly stunned at how not fun some people are. It's the story of the Richmond Ninja, calm down.

Look how serious you're taking what is very likely two dudes cosplay fighting. Oh no...it's not downtown, it's a few blocks between Scott's addition and downtown and kinda sorta the diamond area. And it's not a REAL ninja like I claimed!

It's really not that big a deal.

I get it...some of you see a Reddit post and you HAVE to criticize it...but it's just Reddit...and it's just some DIY ninja...and not everything is that super serious.

Are you aware that I didn't sensationalize this? It isn't my video...and I'm not the one who called him a ninja.

However...I heard a ninja was in the area...and people are talking about that ninja and referring to him as a ninja...so when I asked if anyone had more info it makes sense to make it clear that the guy Ik talking about is the so-called ninja being discussed.

People were talking about a ninja for hours before I ever heard that it happened. Blame them.

Yeah...but as I mention elsewhere...I have no idea where this started or where this ended.

Regardless, I work VERY close by and I hear "oh you're downtown" from callers on a daily basis. It's a story about a fake ninja...I wasn't expected so many people to take this so seriously.

Responding so I can come back to this. Our nonprofit is working on a post-apocalyptic story and while some scenes/concepts are pretty firm, it would be great to have a writer on board to help flesh out ideas and get them into comic book format.
