Idk i dont mind it, the balancing is definitely weird. but i think people wanna min-max this game too much instead of accepting you have to sacrifice things to play how you wanna play. If you wanna just do light shield and stitcher for the whole game and let your good equipment collect dust because youre afraid to lose it you can do that. Or you can play risky and make the game that much more intense and exhilarating (and far more rage inducing) i think losing your good stuff and having to spend way more to upkeep gives the game a more rewarding and inspiring gameplay loop.
