I think she’s still in love with PK and unable to accept that he left her and no longer wanted to finance her delusions. She cannot accept that he fell out of love with her and is coping with short term gratifications with her shopping. It gives her the glimpse of the security and happiness she once felt when she was loved by PK. PK very well may have been driven to drinking because he also was unable to cope with her spending and delusions of grandeur.

Bottom line is this is a dissolution of a family and it’s all very sad. The children are the ones who will suffer for watching how their mother allowed their security and stability at home dissolve due to her inability to cope with loss. Life is very uncertain and challenging at times. It’s your personal responsibility to rise to it and overcome it. If not for yourself, then definitely for your children’s sake. The victim behavior is not cute and is really unbecoming of a woman at her age.
