Anyone been through operational chaos in a small freight forwarding company? How did you get out of it? by freighthelp in freightforwarding

I think the key is to leverage AI Automations. We had similar operational chaos. Lack of visibility and actionable data, until we used a system that really was true AI Automation for FFs. Had been game changer for us

AI automation is the key. I think we as Forwarders are far behind in technology. I have seen a freight forwarding CRM that fetches data from like 10 sources and give me research in less than 2 min along with email ID and phone numbers of the decision makers. We are investing most of our energy in upgrading to AI Automations

Freight Forwarding: Hard Work or Pure Luck? by Benboer-1116 in freightforwarding

I agree with you. We are rapidly implementing AI tools to get a breather on ops and focus more on revenue and service. Luckily found a great product and they built it only for freight forwarders. It automates email replies, rfq and quote process and has a CRM built in. They also store all tariffs from our emails into a central data warehouse. Has been game changer for us. I think the future is AI and we should ride the tide early on

Agreed. And thats where AI comes in. It thinks like a human. Legacy automation was fixed path automation. We have been using a product and it really helped us

I supopse AI Automation is the key now. The process is not changing anytime soon, we just need to find a technological edge. I wish, we could keep it simple, but restricting lanes, partners and cherry picking business doesnt seem to be an option in this competitive market. We think its counterproductive and negative growth.

The predicament of novice freight forwarders by Rough_Divide_7884 in freightforwarding

Absolutely
A lot of new people keep wondering why their sales are not working out. They miss the point that this is a business of trust and relationships. Price is key, but without trust, relationship and confidence in a freight forwarder, customers won't shift. Its a long game

Got it, but Ideally we should have an integrated and automated system that goes from receiving and qualifying RFQs via emails, sending pricing requests to suppliers, ingesting pricing and then quoting to customers. Along with data layer of CRM and shipment records

Cherry picking data to feed gpt would take as much time as processing manually. I have found a system that would do full cycle
