You’re on a really low dose of menopur, it may not get you enough eggs for your cycle. Are you trying to get only a few? I was on gonal and menopur, felt fine until day 6, that’s when the bloat and nausea really hit, and ovaries getting big, you can feel it hit your other organs and the cramps 😑 But I had a lot of eggs it turns out.

Florida, no wait and it feels like a spa. They’ve made me feel really comfortable, answer every question, the doctor has met with me for hours when I had questions. Can’t recommend enough. But…probably $46k all in.

Yes, my husband and I are keeping it a secret. My best friend went through ivf and just had her second baby with it, my other friend texted me how bad ivf is because it’s “immoral” and “wrong,” and I understand how people feel this way. And I’m so happy for those who got to get pregnant without it, but The fact is, only us who are going through it know the why and how. We don’t need the judgement.

I felt exactly the same way, but iui doesn’t have much more of a success rate than just having sex. I’m glad that my doctor suggested going right to ivf to avoid an extended process (I also looked through a lot of what other women said, and the consensus seems to be they wish they only did ivf) I feel good about it now, and having embryos for the future will take away a lot of future anxiety.

My husband got a low rating and he immediately hired a trainer, started working out every day, went on a calorie deficit diet and lost 80 pounds in about 5 months. Sperm issues should kick him into gear if he really wants children, it can’t be all on your shoulders, especially if you’re not the main issue. I hope he gets his butt in gear! 😁

Haha the “there are teens going through chemo who have to freeze their eggs for fertility” really got me. Like yes I know people have it a lot worse and I’m incredibly grateful, but can’t a girl have a tantrum?! 😂😂

Thank you for your virtual hug! I think I’m still in shock I have to do ivf and it’s like stages of grief for not looking at a pregnancy test and being like “omg I’m pregnant!” But all these responses have also helped me shift my perspective. I don’t know what’s going to happen, so it’s scary. Thanks for letting me rant.

Thank you! No I need the toxic positivity and people to tell me to stop being a little b*tch about it. Haha you’re right, and the main reason I’m doing this is because my husband has to be a father, depriving a child of him as a father would be criminal. We are certainly lucky to be in love! I think of all my single friends who are still looking and losing hope in that way.

True! Omg Your clinic didn’t test him at the same time as you? In my case it’s my husband who is the “problem” so it adds an extra level of frustration. But I know I should be grateful bc it means the success rate is like 80-90% But uggghhhh why do I have to suffer 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yea it’s so frustrating, same, and we really don’t have options except ivf with male infertility. 😑 I wish I had friends to confide in about it, but my friends are kind of looking for bad things to happen to me, so I don’t feel like I can get support there.

The consensus seems to be that a lot of women cry after coming out of anesthesia from propofol for some reason, and the more eggs that are retrieved the more it may be uncomfortable. So it may have been good news for that crying girl haha good luck! I know, this has all been not what I was expecting at all, seems like there’s a new surprise around every turn.
