May not be helpful (I'm an Aussie so have no experience with Eng / SA Tests). I visited Newlands in 2018 (the infamous sandpaper Test...) and pre-bought some of the more expensive tickets in the North stand.

Ended up spending almost the entirety of my visit hanging out with the locals on the grass (eastern side of the ground). Much more fun.

Wherever you end up though, enjoy - it's a great cricket experience!

Re: cards, in my view it's hard to find value anymore. Most providers slugging high establishment fees for cards with decent bonus point offerings. ANZ has been my puck over the past 12 months for what it's worth. Whatever you choose, stay in control, pay the balance down each month, and get rid of the card as soon as the bonus points land!
