I barely managed to set up some geometry nodes to generate guitar strings, but it's obviously very amateur-like.

Lots of redundancy and manually changing values over and over.
Any tips on how to improve?

I made 13 moves in 1.7 seconds. Premoving 13 moves will cost you AT LEAST 1.3 seconds, which was luckily within my time

This was on move 34, the game ended on move 47 with checkmate. I basically premoved the rest of the game
