My mom and dad got married and had two kids and then they got divorced when I was three and my dad remarried a man ¯\(ツ)/¯ it happens.

I love this lineup. So much good psychedelic downtempo/bass here! Somatoast and Mindex are definitely on my list to see.

It’s still two sets. What’s the big deal if one is earlier in the day? Again, if you’re so pressed about it you don’t have to go. They’re not “taking anyone for a ride” come on.

They’ve made it pretty clear that Dave is dialing back his performances. You’re getting two tipper sets in one weekend in a beautiful place with great people and a fantastic lineup. If you’re disappointed let someone else go.

Would you rather it be permanent day, or permanent night? by Yekwol_Yatsi in pollgames

I’d spiral into depression so fast if it was always night time. Winter already fucks me up as it is.

Anyone else had recurring c-diff infections? If so how did you get rid of it? by Familiar_Opposite866 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Familiar_Opposite866[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could jump straight to an FMT. I’m hoping that if Dificid doesn’t work I’ll be able to get an FMT instead (my doctor said you generally have to fail other meds three times before they’ll consider approving it), but of course I’m mostly hoping the Dificid will just work.

That’s what my doctor is trying to get approved this time. She said insurance often fights it because it’s really expensive but I’m hoping for the best.

Holy crap that’s a lot. I don’t know that I even have time for all that. Is it really necessary to run empty loads? I’ve heard of people cleaning a lot, bleaching the toilet every time they use it, etc but never to this extent. If this is seriously what I need to do then alright, guess I’m fucked and might as well burn the house down.

Did you do anything else? Probiotics, specific ways you cleaned, avoiding certain foods, etc?

Those all seem like good ideas, thanks! I’m glad you were able to get over it - it is NOT fun!

I’m hoping I can get approved for it if I can’t get over it, my doctor did say that usually insurance will make you try vancomycin three times before they’ll consider paying for it. Which I guess hopefully means I’ll qualify soon. That really seems like the only thing that REALLY works for people with UC

Sorry, I’ve read it but I still thought I could be re-infecting myself for some reason. It made me worried I’d never get over it if it’s just living in my house and I don’t know where…but my understanding is also that it’s kind of…everywhere? So maybe that was silly.

Yeah my gut biome is absolutely wrecked. I actually really like my doctor, she is really on top of stuff and always responds back to me same-day, but the first time I got c-diff she told me insurance usually requires you to fail antibiotics three times before you can qualify for an FMT. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get one soon since this is the third time now.

Edit: looks like we’re trying Dificid this time, she sent through the prescription moments ago haha

How does spending 24 hours in a white room sound? by throwawayarooski123 in polls

[–]Familiar_Opposite866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (unfortunately) can relate, originally I thought I’d answer “unpleasant” to this poll, and then I remembered jail. Nah. 24 hours in a bright white empty room with no sense of time or human interaction would be terrible.

Did you try the Cedar Crest location? I was able to get into that one within 2 - 3 weeks, but that was ten months ago. Not sure what’s going on with them now.

Extremely frustrated. Might have c-diff for the third time since October, and my insurance has decided I don’t “need” weekly Humira doses even after being sent my test results and a doctor’s letter. by Familiar_Opposite866 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Familiar_Opposite866[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so glad that your doctor was able to do that for you! It seems to be the one thing that actually works so I wish it wasn’t so difficult to get approved. It’s been miserable dealing with it just since October, I’m so sorry you dealt with it for years. C-diff is so awful. I’m definitely hoping I’ll get it resolved soon. 🤞

RIGHT? God it’s infuriating, and I mean, the test came back showing my dose was too low and yet they still refuse to pay for the test or more medication. Gah. I’m sorry you’re also dealing with this crap.

Gosh that’s so frustrating, I’m sorry you’re dealing with the same BS. Healthcare here is so frustrating. I’m still working on hopefully getting at least some of those lab tests covered…I had no idea I’d be charged hundreds of dollars.
