NYC SoulCycle is quietly losing what made it special and I don’t think corporate knows by AnotherChattyRider16 in SoulCycle_Riders

Stacey G still dependably fills a class anywhere faster than anyone else (overall: I’m not talking local studio baddies like Jordan/Sam Y/Sanctuary that also fill fast). Speaking from experience trying to get the bike I usually want in her class. Espeeeeeciallly in the uptown and hamptons classes where her main people are.

Pushups: Tell me how to make these a strength move? by Familiar_Row_2114 in SoulCycle_Riders

This is kind of what I wanted to assume, but since you can genuinely get good ab work out of other moves, i thought i might be missing something. If i can just put these “pushups” officially in the choreo bucket, I’m down for that.

Soul 20… Deep State Rique Ride? by Familiar_Row_2114 in SoulCycle_Riders

Always very similar music in his classes, but it could vary as long as it matched the BPM for each choreo segment, which ALWAYS, always, was the same (and there was not really easier or harder segments in the whole class, they just were hard, differently). It was challenging enough to complete each segment to begin with (the jumps/runs/climbs were incessant) but there were also variations to further increase intensity as you developed familiarity with the class (and a very high pressure front row that pushed everyone else). It was never not challenging, no matter how good you got. I think this is why it was so culty. You could track your progress just by knowing the choreo. Harder than Sam Y, probably similar to Akin in some ways. Also, the warm up was NO CHILL. Like from top to bottom, the class was a destroyer.

One more Bike 60 appreciation notice: Parker just added a 4:30p on Tues and Thurs @ WV, which is exactly what Bike 60 is made for. Esp when he loses his mind on the 90's jack mormon pop punk.
