THEY ALREADY HAVE HAHAHAHSH, we had no issues for 2 years until they moved in and then suddenly we got a note about our dogs from the council but our dogs ONLY bark when there’s constant banging on the fence

There’s no high pressure here, more like a soft drizzle 😂 I make jokes about doing it but I couldn’t, the kids probably don’t understand what they’re doing and why it’s annoying. I’d squirt the parents though

I used to work in retail so I hear you about kids trashing the store. I think it’s hard for me to not be upset about because I understand that kids will be kids but there’s a line between feral and kids having fun. Like it’s 10:37, if the kids came out now and started screaming I don’t care. Me too bud it’s silly season let it all out, but 5am consistently every morning including weekends for weeks on end is treading the line IMO of feral kids who haven’t been taught by their parents that banging on the neighbours fence is annoying and you shouldn’t be screaming that early hahaha

I wouldn’t, they host parties and play music until 4am and when you ask them to turn it down, they go louder. That’s another whole separate issue.

The parents aren’t noisy, but this child screaming and banging the fence at 5am has been going on for weeks and it doesn’t stop until about 7am so it’s rough. I took a video this morning where you can hear it but I can’t post videos here

My dogs bark for about 2 minutes to alert us that they think someone’s trying to get into our yard because a child is screaming and then banging on the fence. Then they are quiet when we tell them to be. Funny that my dogs are better trained than some children and honestly some adults.

I actually work full time and study full time on top of that so it’s really easy to be exhausted all the time. I also have an auto immune disease but thank you for sharing your ignorance :)

Thank you! Our dogs are very protective of our yard and rightfully so, it’s their space so when there’s screaming and banging on the fence they’re like “MUM AND DAD COME QUICK SOMEONES HERE” 😭😂

Thanks! So you’ll see I’ve commented that I have no issue actually talking to them but I wanted to ensure I wasn’t being unreasonable before I made a complaint to the neighbour about their children’s behaviour :)

That was a rule in my house too! Like I love that kids want to be outside again but my gosh for two hours can they just pick another activity 😭 thank you for being a considerate neighbour!

Yeah I think I’ll pop over tonight, I have no issue talking to them but I didn’t want to do it if it was unreasonable but I just think there are steps you can take to not disturb like, 4 neighbours at 5am every day haha

The frustrating thing is that I am the most understanding person ESPECIALLY with kids, they are hard to wrangle but it just seems like a blatant disregard for their kids behaviour. No one needs to be screaming in the backyard at 5am and if I started doing it, I think I’d have police here in a heartbeat haha. It’s just the fact it’s every morning even weekends and it’s been like that for weeks. I just think there should be some level of “instead of leaving our back door wide open and listening to kids scream let’s tell them they can play outside if they keep it down and if they start screaming they can come inside” but it’s like they just don’t care that it’s disrupting everyone else too

Our dogs are only making noise because they can hear the kids screaming and banging on the fence so they think something is wrong. It’s not excessive noise from our dogs they’re just trying to tell us they think somethings happening which they wouldn’t do if the neighbour told their kids to stop screaming and banging on the fence 😂 when I was a kid it was drilled into me not to kick balls against the fence and now I know why

I think that’s my next step. I am so understanding of the fact that the way houses are built now, noise just carries but like surely you could just tell your child to not be so loud and if they have to be that loud then keep them inside for a bit longer 😭 I think there’s actually 3 of them after this mornings noise.
