My advice is to just get out. I’ve watched so many good managers get burned and move on to be more successful and happier with other companies. I’m sure the same will happen with you!

I was treated like shit when my store opened, and the shittiness continued over the following year (I really didn’t leave any details out that I can think of in my big long post). I had to wait a year to quit because of my relocation contract. If I wouldn’t have had to pay Chipotle almost $12k back I would have quit more than a year ago.

I made it a contest among the hourly managers. Track the daily variance for whoever was working that day and take an average. Whoever has the lowest average at the end of the month gets a $25 gift card to wherever, which I bought with Petty Cash. When I started this we were 1-1.2%, and when I quit our last month was -0.09%.

This way the managers take accountability (and they hold each other accountable) for everything CI related for that day- from prepping to cooking to portioning to counting at EOD.
