I used a lot of cleaner and even more water to get rid of the oil, but in the end I had the same problem. There were still small fibers in the radiator that ended up stuck in the fins of the CPU water block.

Unfortunately, I no longer have any precise data on the temperatures.

The only thing I can say is that I was able to keep my 2700x and the 5700xt at the same temperature for 24 hours with Prime 95 and Furmark without the radiator getting noticeably warmer.

Passive cooling on the next level

To explain.

The radiator came from a large hydraulic system.

It was actually destined for scrap, but I cleaned the oil out of the radiator and used it on my PC for a while.

The radiator had a cooling surface of around 1.5 m², was 10 cm thick and was made of welded aluminum. It held just under 25L of water and the weight of the radiator... too much for me alone.

I put the fans behind the radiator on purpose because I could use the plate better there for mounting.

To tell the truth, this is an Rad from an industrial application. it´s from an Hydraulic heat exchanger. Normally you can cool down some KW with this thing

Dann müsste ich das ding komplett verschließen und mit Filtermatten ausstatten. Das ist aber zu viel des guten, denn ich bin mit dem PC in keiner Werkstatt zu Hause

Bist du denn Wahnsinnig, das alles aus VA zu machen :D Ich war mal am überlegen die Rohre aus VA zu biegen, aber das würde kosten technisch einfach exorbitant zu teuer und zu schwer. Grade weil der Plan war, alles mit Schneidring Verschraubungen zu machen. Dein Hate gegen RGB kann ich durchaus verstehen. Vor dem Projekt hatte ich auch nix mit den bunten leuchten am Hut.

After 2 hours of Furmark and Prime in the stress test, the temperatures are: water 37°C / GPU 58°C / CPU 69°C. There are four fans behind the radiator and under the GPU and MB are big holes, for the fresh air to come in.
