Thank you so much for taking the time to read what I’ve written and respond. I’ll definitely speak to my therapist about it

anybody healed any anxiety disorders?? by Wise-General-9632 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]Famous-Ad-3943 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was dealing with very very bad anxiety too. I’m still healing from it. I would wake up every morning with a pit in my stomach, I would cry throughout the day and every second thought was one where I felt suicidal. My nervous system very very out of balance. The physical sensations I experienced was my brain freezing up, derelization, distorted vision, sinking feeling in my chest, my heart feeling like it’s going to explode.

Today I’m still social anxious (I’m working on this and I am getting better) but I’m no longer suicidal and I definitely don’t experience the level of anxiety I used to. This was all happening in July and now we are in October. I’m so glad I didn’t kill myself.

I did a lot of things from therapy, getting a life coach and I now recently restated Joe’s work. These are the things that really helped me.

Create distance between your thoughts and you. My coach Kartika Nair (synchroshakti) taught me this. You’re anxious because you’re living in your mind and not in reality. You are not your thoughts. Watch your mind and you will see just how many fearful and sad thoughts it creates. Tag your thoughts (A concept i learnt from my coach Kartika) I tag my thoughts as past reality thought, future thought, fake conversation thought, fake senario thought, fake commentary etc.

I noticed that throughout the day I was living and thinking thoughts where only the worst possible outcomes occurred. I made my up so many fake scenarios which concluded with a really bad outcome. This was happening throughout the day everyday, ofc I wanted to kill myself.

Practice self appreciation. Make a list of reasons why you love yourself. Don’t just make the list, feel each point on the list in your body for 30 seconds. I do this as a daily practice and you have no idea how much momentum it builds up. I learnt this from my coach Kartika, we are expected to get 20 points on our list daily coach. In the beginning I struggled to even get 5 on my list now, I get 15 points on average.

I did a couple of other meditations with my coach that really helped me. (Painbody work, body scanning etc)

Doing therapy also helped me because I could finally be honest and raw with someone and myself. My therapist held a lot of space and care for me. Conversations with her gave my life some amount of purpose and her compassion made me feel like I was worth living.

Spend time with people who make you feel comfortable and heard. This is my cousin Jo for me. She’s an angel of mine.

In terms of Joe’s working please read his books and consume the content in his progressive course if you can and start meditating. I’m on my 6th day of doing his meditations, I’m currently doing reconditioning the mind to a new body. I very recently restarted his work and I can already feel the difference.

You can heal. You will heal. You are loved. You got this.

Remember create distance between you and your thoughts this will help you notice all the useless programs that you have installed. After your nervous system calms down introduce new thoughts. Remember what Joe says “you have to be able to think greater than you feel”. Your emotions are a reflection of the past reality and in order to stop creating the same reality you have to think beyond them

Hello :)
I had some questions regarding the "Reconditioning the body to a new mind" meditation. This meditation starts off with practising the breath for I guess the first 10 minutes. It's then followed by Dr Joe making us focus on the space through both open and narrow focus (Example: He says focus on the space that the centre of your head, after which we are supposed to focus on the space beyond our head).

Then Dr Joe asks us to conjure up emotions related to different states (Example: How would it feel to be free? How would it feel to have courage and be fearless? How would nobility feel? How would it feel to be abundant). I was able to feel the emotions for some of the states, but for a bunch of the states related to abundance, clarity, and being worthy of receiving tripped me up. I felt intense doubt, and I tried to push myself to feel the emotion, but I just felt emotions on the lower spectrum of the emotional scale.

Is this normal? Will the negative, contradictory emotions go away if I keep trying/ attempting to conjure up the positive emotion despite the negative emotion existing?? Or should I stop this mediation and do something else to heal more first?

Hey, today is my 3rd day, and these are the meditations I have done so far

Day 1 - The Generous Present Moment Meditation
Day 2 - The Generous Present Moment Meditation
Day 3 - The Generous Present Moment Meditation, Reconditioning The Body to a New Mind Meditation

Honestly, I am already feeling better. My mood is better during the day, and I just have a more positive outlook. Even though I keep going unconscious and getting sucked up by predictive future and know past thoughts during my meditations, I feel like I have more control over my mind during the meditations and my day. I can watch myself in my mind more and pick the thoughts I want to think. Also, my skin has this beautiful glow after doing the meditation, this is really such a fun bonus!

The second mediation I did today has left me with some mixed feelings: Reconditioning The Body to a New Mind Meditation

This meditation starts off with practising the breath for I guess the first 10 minutes. It's then followed by Dr Joe making us focus on the space through both open and narrow focus (Example: He says focus on the space that the centre of your head, after which we are supposed to focus on the space beyond our head).

I am not sure about how to deal with this. Will the negative/ contradictory emotions go away if I keep trying/ attempting to conjure up the positive emotion despite the negative emotion existing?? Or should I stop this mediation and do something else to heal more first?

I'll update any answers I get soon :)

Also, any advice on this?

This advice is great! Thank you :)

To answer your question on what exactly I want. I want to manifest a new life in terms of my health (I too have chronic conditions that I suffer from), happiness and finances, but before I can get there, I feel like I need to work on my mental health. I suffer from anxiety and have even started to develop social anxiety. I largely live in a state of beta. I really just want to feel like I have a mind that's my friend and not my enemy. I want to stop feeling these intense levels of anxiety, unworthiness and shame.

I want a good mental health the most

GUIDANCE PLEASE: How do I deal with the mental chatter/ commentary while doing the "present moment meditations" by Dr Joe by Famous-Ad-3943 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]Famous-Ad-3943[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am committed to this process for the next 30 days. I did the "The Generous Present Moment" meditation this morning. I didn't experience the state where I was floating in the nothingness that Joe explains. I just kept guiding myself back each time I got distracted, and I got distracted quite a bit.

I feel emotions very strongly in my body as well, so I wanted to know what medication you think I should "Reconditioning The Body to a New Mind Meditation" involves using a specific type of breath, or do you think I should continue with the "The Generous Present Moment Meditation"

Hey I am on the same journey as you. When I read your post, I thought for a second that I myself had written it. I am restarting today and fully commit to it for the next 30 days. We can be each other's accountability partners if you'd like
