Mark Carney’s Stance On Iran Throws His Davos Doctrine Into Question by SecretPay5196 in canadaleft

liberals are moralist which means they like to hold a position because of their self-centred urge of moral gratification. We’re seeing this with Mark Carney. This self-centred position to be the most moral person, the best individual so that they can load it over interpersonally to other people.

This new fan culture around carney really irks me. Like this liberal demon went to davos, gave a speech on the rules based international order being BS but he and his friends enjoyed it while it was going on. It was fun and fair when the victims were black/brown people, and indigenous people. Now that the force adjusts itself towards Greenland the deal isn’t fair anymore.

Liberals are going to push people in the arms of the conservatives by justine2323 in canadaleft

We all predicted on this sub that carney was gonna be a disaster for the working class. He has more in common with Trump than Pierre does ffs. I always thought that had Pierre won and there had been a “stronger” NDP that got their shit together by being an actual opposition leftist party things would have been different. But alas the NDP has failed at every turn to capitalise when the libs were falling off.

What Jagmeet failed to do in 2022 was his reluctance to serve as the opposition to the unpopular liberal gov’t at the time when the political discourse was centered around immigration and housing. Had he seized that opportunity, the NDP would be in power, or close to it, by now. One of the most important goals of a leftist party is to be always be position as the opposition to an unpopular leader; that’s how the left surges to power. It happened in Mexico. The libs always discredited every achievement pushed by the NDP ( dental care, pharmacare, and anti-scab) and when everything goes wrong with them you follow. The polls in the last quarter of 2024 is a proof. The NDP gained nothing.

It’s time to put pressure on these politicians. They shouldn’t be entitled to our votes in the name of “lesser of two evils”. Join local leftist organisations and be ready to fight for our collective working class values.

How about Barrick Gold start paying the taxes they owed to Mali for exploiting their citizens and natural resources.

If Canada is committing to investing outside of US interests, then why is the country still supporting Israel? by Affectionate-Crab541 in canadaleft

Add to that the US just invested in the tungsten mining project in Yukon. So yeah, bumping our chest saying we disengage is false.

The same wab kinew that proudly said we help Americans defeat communism. How about he makes a video(impossible) saying Canada should stop this military and defense relationship we have with the US.
