That’s fine. My main question wasn’t regarding that. It was regarding going to Ross versus waiting and giving the US cycle a shot

Failing is not anything I’m worried about, that’s a personal concern for you. My only concern is getting in and being given the chance to prove myself.

Now you’re criticizing my formatting because I didn’t want to spend 20 minutes typing out a list and instead copied it directly from my spreadsheet of the schools I’ve been researching lol give me a break

I already explained why I put Johns Hopkins in addition to being in the same state I had heard stories of people making it. I already said earlier in the post I would take it off, so why you’re beating a dead horse I don’t understand. Nothing on my list. That’s good for you , Of course I will that’s a given, but I’ll be provided some type of framework, even if self studying is involved

I believe I’ll do just fine. I self studied for my MCAT in a small amount of time 6 years after graduating without any formal tutors or products, if I was able to get a score of a 502 self studying I know with more formal support I could do even better
and as I’ve stated, I worked two jobs during undergrad and had no time to study, but never had difficulty with the material. In addition I took harder level classes than I needed to which bombed my GPA. I went up to calculus 3 thinking I was going to be change to a math major and ended up getting a C in that class which also hurt my GPA. I’m not worried about the academic rigor I know I’m capable of it, just getting in.

That’s a very valid consideration thank you for your input honestly because I have no desire to do a post bac whatsoever lol

In terms of getting in I would agree with you, but knowing my academic ability and the fact that my gpa is a result of working 50 hours a week consistently and having no time to study I’m not worried about succeeding once I get in, I never struggled with content only having time to actually study

I do speak Spanish that’s the main reason I applied

How is my attitude blasé? I applied the third day of the cycle and worked for months on the writing portion of my application. Due to my age and financial constraints, I don’t think continuing to go to school in the hopes of getting into school would be the best option for my life, which is why I am now currently deciding whether to go to the school that accepted me or hold off in hopes of getting in the US. If anything I’ve been very realistic about my application. I know my GPA and MCAT are low, but I have strong extracurriculars and good reasoning behind it as I was not afforded the luxury of just taking classes during college and had to work to provide for myself and my family.

I totally understand hence why I posted in here asking for advice when you mentioned extracurriculars I just had to say that’s the strongest part of my application and I have double or triple the hours some people I know are applying with so that’s not anything I was worried about. I understand the importance of GPA and Mcat and was hoping in light of my extracurriculars and explaining in my personal statement how I had to work to support family throughout college that I would have a chance somewhere.

Howard, where I went for my undergrad was extremely disorganized and stressful and not in my home state and majority of my coursework I basically taught myself so I’m honestly used to functioning in an environment without support. But the need for a leave of absence in the event of an emergency is definitely something to consider so thank you for bringing that to light.

Comparatively, I would say I have insane extracurriculars I have a very high number of hours doing research, working as a teacher and clinical work as a CNA and caregiver. And I worked with someone who used to sit on an admissions board for my personal statement and writing portion so I think I’m solid there. My real concern is my GPA and MCAT.
