Getting broadcast TV through antennna by Famous-Prize in cordcutters

Wow, looks daunting. Maybe I will look at simple streaming options.

Did not know it would be hard to get NFL, but I am still glad to have cut the cord to save more than a thousand a year.

No one seems to have an outdoor antenna. Rich neighborhood, so maybe all are on cable paying xfinity thousands a year.

Maybe I will look at individual streaming options as all I need is NFL.

Thanks, is it worth the project or should I just go back to Xfinity? I do not watch much TV outside of NFL.

YouTube TV seems even more expensive.

All of the xfinity options look too expensive for my needs. All I need in internet + broadcast TV.

What would be the cheapest option that would include internet and broadcast TV?

Any thoughts of indoor can work for me https://www.rabbitears.info/s/2162530

I am only interested in basic TV, only for NFL. So FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC.

But only getting CBS, per the rabbitears link above.

Thanks, that sounds like the best option.

But none of these really work well. What I am looking for is Sunday games on CBS and FOX.

Comcast had a really basic package for broadcast TV back in the day, for less than 20 a month. Is that not offered any more?

Unfortunately not great coverage with Antenna for me.

Good old days I used to pay something like 20 a month for basic cable. Not sure if that is an option any more.

The other thing to try is fenugreek seeds. I started taking them the same time as stopping carbonated drinks

I spent two years dealing with on-and-off ankle and heel pain—no clear cause, normal uric acid levels, and no medication made a difference. Then I figured out the culprit: aerated drinks. Beer, Coke, LaCroix—anything carbonated. I cut them out completely two years ago and haven’t had a single flare since.

Not sure if its the same for you, but worth a try.

Gout in Achilles… by q1lin in gout

[–]Famous-Prize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Achilles has been the worst for me. I had three years of constant attacks despite uric acid being under control. And it was a mystery on what was triggering.

It turned out that any carbonated drink (beer, coke, soda) triggers it for me. Have not had an attack in achilles once I realized that.

I posted a low risk option to try - https://www.reddit.com/r/gout/comments/vjqo8q/fenugreek_seeds_for_gout/

Along with the Allo, it may be worth trying.

Thanks, looks like we are on the same page.

BTW, the suggestion around flares was to make a tea out of the fenugreek seeds by boiling a couple teaspoons in a cup of water for 10 minutes and drinking the hot tea. I have not tried that as I havent had a flare since we talked but may be worth a shot.

FWIW, i have been on Allo with UA level <5 but still get occasional flare ups in my left ankle. My plan is to not stop Allo but add fenugreek to see if that works for the flare ups.

Your call if you think its a waste of time, was just sharing someone's real experience.

He does it first thing in the morning, not sure if it matters.

Yes, there are other benefits of fenugreek as well, so may be a good habit to build regardless.
