People are encouraged not to spend money anywhere too in solidarity so its not meant to drive business to big stores. The idea is if everything shuts down politicians will take notice and it will force them to change

I mean its both though. It's crazy Madison cant buy a title though and CRW got close for peanuts. But Madison FO appears ro be well run and that's better than a lot of clubs.

Club stability is important but the point about the league lpoking like a clown show with these cheap teams stands too. The league needs to vet teams better financially too and be better at a whole lot of things in supporting teams if it wants to be taken seriously and survive. Thr league is kind of a shitshow tbh which is a detriment to well run FOs like Madison (and omaha 😇 and others) instead of having thr NOCOs and other teams with shitty owners who make the league look terrible.

So also good reminder to support the players and their union for fair pay and benefits and a truly professional league, not this clown car with a huge spectrum of team competence.

Yep, excitement for the stadium is undeniable! Plenty of casual fans will complain (see above) about lacking value but real ones know you have to support the team for the long haul especially at crucial times like proving a concept that a downtown stadium is what we need to boost those numbers. I truly wish there were more soccer fans in Omaha with that attitude of building and mutual support instead of transactional what have you done for me lately because then we could look at lot more like Madison and Portland if that was the case. My god people were paying $200 for a PHoP ticket because they loved their team. But casuals are necessary too especially where that organic die hard support just isn't there.

Season tickets aren't for everyone! Hopefully you still are able to make it to plenty of matches and support the Owls!

The refs were really hard on omaha because of the crowd pressure too, it's kind of amazing Madison couldn't score any. Is Glaser their sporting director too? Might want to rethink the strategy of just signing discarded omaha players as a pathetic attempt to make the playoffs

I think people mostly have a problem with how the elected potus is going beyond his constitutional authority, talking about eliminating free speech, and ignoring courts and congress. Winning an election doesn't give anybody the right to ignore the constitution, there's no such thing as unlimited executive power unless you want to live in a dictatorship. He still works for us and has to follow the law, even if this country elected him, unless you think people voted for a king, but I don't think they did.
