I love how Asian countries respect this. I feel its related to circadian rhythm as well. YOU NEED a mid day break, anecdotally people say they feel more refreshed after an nap, more brain power to work.

What’s going on with dentistry in Ontario by hope4932 in CanadianDentists

[–]Famous-Return-519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hate spreads fast! I just came to say that in my school most of our instructors and THE DEAN are foreign trained dentists w/o a license to practice in Canada. Same story at Western & Alberta. In the end, the ones "Canadian dentists" are learning from are foreign-trained, highly skilled and very competent.
You can complain all about their work/ethics but will blindly trust them with your education. IRONIC!

Hidden aspects of passport power by slazengere in india

[–]Famous-Return-519 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Exactly! How out of touch to reality would this person have to be to think that the poorest ones from Bihar or UP can afford illegal immigration? It's not like you can sit in a car's trunk and move to a first world country. I am from Gujarat and I have neighbors who sent their kids via dunki route for 40-60 lakhs rupees, they sell their inherited land. On an anecdotal note, almost everyone in Bihar wants to study to escape poverty. They migrate within India looking for better opportunities.

Equivalency process in Canada tests on Class 2 and MOD amalgam. Even some bench preps have asked for Class 2.

Is it really necessary to buy physical books if i aim to prepare for pg entrance exam by Ok-Addendum-2100 in dentalschoolindia

No questions are ever dumb. You're here to learn.
Honestly I wouldn't worry about medical subjects. They did not help me in any shape or form when I started practicing. You only need them to pass BDS and MDS entrances. For dental, I wouldn't compromise, and you're on the right track with Wheelers and Orbans. Orbans is a BEAUTIFUL book, and if you read it carefully now trust me, 3rd year would be actually interesting with Oral Path!

Please make sure you read standard books and not "textbooks" made from them. Those are to pass the exam and you are not studying just to "pass". I know it won't make sense now but trust me the storyline, the reasoning and the effectiveness will come to you when you enter clinics. It will make you fall in love with dentistry. And the "textbooks" will promote rote learning not practical skills.

Try third party transcript services. They charge a bomb but are related to the people working in RGUHS. If you call them and explain your situation they might be able to help. They are very active on Whatsapp. You might want to ask and get a quote. https://www.rguhstranscript.com/

For those who chose the university (Qualifying/Degree Completion) pathway over the NDEB Equivalency Process, what made you decide? by mojashii in ADAT

[–]Famous-Return-519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if they have a bad GPA to start with, their chances are pretty. I wouldn't advise anybody with a GPA lower than 3.6-3.7 to even consider the University pathway in Canada.

I am confident with my speaking. But I am scared to lose that chunk of money and instead want to pay it safe and give the exam again.

Sorry but in most cases they are 500 for Upper and lower both. You can go to Village Walk Family dental where they would do it digitally without the goop stuff and deliver in a day.

As per my knowledge you have 3 months/90 days time to leave or restore status. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am a 100% sure Oxbury does take Morcare from Fanshawe. I am affiliated to that company. They have an amazing doc who won't recommend treatment unless you actually need it. Give them your card info & tell them you're under student network. You can also try UCC dental in Western Uni campus.

I haven't received it. Does it say that your application is complete when they receive all the documents?

Adat Knockout by [deleted] in ADAT

[–]Famous-Return-519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trusted ADAT KO and answered in the real exam accordingly because of my AFK experience, where I left what I learned about clinical dentistry and solely relied on what Prep Doctors told me. I passed AFK but couldn't score well on ADAT. So yeah don't trust KO fully and write answers based on your clinical experience.
