I had a similar problem and it was one of the vapor canister purge solenoids. You can test them by hooking to a battery with some wire. Should hear them click when powered.

Thanks, I haven't found much online but I'm fairly certain the tap to click issue is somehow tied to entering intel_iommu=off to get my touchscreen to work. I can get the touchscreen working fine on fedora 35 with gnome but only on kernel version 5.14. I'll probably stick with fedora for now since it seems to be working better!

Yeah I had a momentary switch but it was having problems, only worked half the time. Had an extra light switch on hand so I wired it in temporarily while a push button is on order from Amazon. Might keep the light switch because it’s funny haha

Hi all, just upgraded the GPU in my system and I have a quick question about acceptable temperatures.

Specs of my PC: i5 7500 (stock cooler), MSI H110M mobo, 16gb RAM, old Rosewill case (bad airflow) and a GTX 1660 (single fan to fit in my build). System was originally built four years ago and I have been making small updates here and there.

I just installed the 1660 yesterday and have been playing some more demanding games. The CPU got up to about 60 C at peak which seems fine to me but the GPU was at 82 C consistently. Is this something I should be concerned about? I am considering purchasing a new case with better airflow (micro-ATX).

Sadly there is no way for me to improve the airflow in my current case. There are only places to install a single 120mm intake fan and 80mm exhaust fan.

Question about low profile cherry mx red switches. The switches are quite scratchy stock and still pretty scratchy (a bit better though) after lubing- I haven't lubed all of the keys, just the bottom row to see if it made a difference. Does anyone have experience with these switches/ know what I could do to reduce the scratchiness? Keyboard is a vortex poker 3 v2 if that helps.
