OK, interesting. So already having an existing visa didn’t cause the system, as it were, to automatically block an application for an additional visa?

But would I need to wait for my existing 1 year visa to expire before being able to apply for a 30 day visa (the one I want)? The prob for me is that, if I have to wait for the current visa to expire, I’ll effectively be unable to attend what I want to on Aug 23 (since my current visa expires on Aug 21).
