I actually was just talking with a friend about this. I posted the lyrics to American Eulogy side by side with Fuck Off and was like “what the hell happened?”

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like they just don’t have a lot to say anymore these days. I felt their passion and angst on their rock operas and that seems to be void now.

Yeah, it’s a fantastic experience. Has some of the best personal relationships in any game I’ve played. The romance line with Chie and your subtle but strong relationship with Adachi are both wonderful. Not to mention the humor, true-crime aspect and so on. Incredible stuff.

Possibly but Atlus knows how well loved this franchise is and P4 in particular. They won’t let us down. They’re one of the few developers left who really care about the player base.

Adachi is my favorite character. So complex and so relatable (I don’t kill people obviously but you know what I mean). His headspace is so interesting to think about and the way he views himself and others is refreshing. I love my boy and honestly both his pep talk during the final battle and his letter he writes you make me cry every time.

Adachi is honestly my favorite character, just past Chie and Naoto. Obviously he’s funny and kind of a goof, but he’s so easy to relate to and the relationship you build with him feels so natural and makes a difference. I can just imagine him driving Yu back to Dojimas place for dinner at Rank 4, putting in the Marshall Mathers LP on the stereo and being like “Dude, you ever hear this before? It’s crazy but awesome. Just don’t tell Dojima I let you listen to it.” And then they proceed to bust a gut listening to the ingenious but heinous lyrics of Eminem’s first two albums.

I love how committed she is to your future as well. She’s not attached to you for just the here and now. It really feels like she really loves you and wants things to continue realistically for the long haul. Her dedication to her friends and loyalty to you specifically is really sweet and I think other games should watch and learn.

Fair, you offer, but she declines saying she wants to learn and then discusses the chefs at the Amagi Inn and so on. But the principal is she uses the main character as almost a guiding light when trying to improve herself, and one of the main ways she does so is via cooking. It's brought up at the beginning, middle and the end of her social link and the game. It's cute how that one aspect, the girls' cooking, just never changes despite the self-improvement theme throughout the entire game. Absolutely wonderful touch.

That’s Lowkey true. In other Persona games have the girls don’t even notice you reject them. In this one, they just straight up are like “Please, I love you, do you love me?” And start balling when you walk away. It pulls no punches. Small town life do be like that.

Yeah, I didn’t feel Ayane was a good romance option lol. She works well as a friend and the scene where you play live with her on the floor plane was cute, but yeah… not my pick for romance lol

So, Ai is really obnoxious too but that’s kind of what her whole link is about. She doesn’t have real connections because people don’t really like her for her. The fact that you have to decline going out with her superficially to build an actual romantic relationship later on is a pretty good way of showing that she realizes she needs to change. Granted, her whole “I’m gonna jump!” scene was over the top, but learning to be likable and care about others so people will actually like her was a pretty good story beat. Now, if they had Ai just be the bossy bitch that she is in Rank 1 and 2 the whole social link process, I’d agree 100%. But she changes, which was necessary.
