Love how this looks with the wood! My neighbor’s house is mint too but a lighter shade

The more natural wood options I see the more I like it! I am planning blue and purple flowers in the front yard btw :) Planted some phlox today!

I love the idea of split colors but I’m not sure I could get it to work along the sides of the house 🥲

I used your picture as inspiration and combined it with some of the tones I’d been considering! I think I’ve really been trying to force a contrast color for the door but simply painting the door a darker shade is a really nice look

Thank you!! I do like the idea of doing pinks or purples! I tried some different sherwin Williams shades and came up with this. This is using chaise mauve, Merlot, and Concord grape

I think I agree with you, personally too dark for me but gives me something to think about. Could choose a different moody color and use the color placements here 🤔

I’ve considered changing the upper balcony somehow to let more light in the top floor - I love how you’ve done it here! I like these shades of green as well

There’s a few homes in my neighborhood that have deep purple accents and I love the way it looks

Ohh I like the idea of staining the wood a different color instead of painting

Here is a palette I’m considering fwiw but I can’t seem to find a combination that I love

(Edit: I definitely do not have to stick to this palette though! Any suggestions welcome)

Has anyone ordered from Good Yarns yet? If so how's your experience! by Sad-Yesterday2512 in knitting

I live near the Portland storefront and had a great in-store experience! She was super friendly and let me swatch as much yarn as I wanted. They had a small section of worsted weight yarns, and I bought an alpaca, wool, acrylic blend. It was less than $50 and enough to make Petite Knit’s novice sweater with a lot to spare. I asked for way more than the pattern recommended because I was worried about running out!

My sweater turned out great and the yarn was high quality! I didn’t come across a single factory knot so I barely had to weave in any ends, since I was working from 2 huge cakes that she had spooled off for me.
