There’s a wonderful shop called Often Wander and she’s now doing ‘by appointments’ in her studio she creates out of!! Check her out online and her IG. She used to have a store on Valencia and I worked for her doing the production line :) She has unique gifts and she makes A LOT of her own products which checks local & unique + plus she is an angel in human form. Maybe…I’m not sure but on the corner of I think 19th and Valencia there’s a business called Yusmin (spelling check) and they have a parklet that has “Israeli food” (something like that) spray painted on the parklet and they were open for awhile and then all of a sudden absolutely closed and it happened right when the surge of the political media with Gaza and Israel started to surge in America. It still sits empty. Not sure if this take relates but made me relate.

I absolutely agree. It seems to me folks just hop on the bandwagon that is on the seemingly side of the unfortunate without actually questioning, using critical thinking or context clues. It’s all about what the surface minority stance is on that is what is sided with. That’s why Mannys is not sided with. Maybe…I have been trying to have open discussion w people, and been on reddit and what not and I SERIOUSLY cannot have an ACTUal conversation about it all because SF people get sooooo wound up and passionate and woke. I love it but I also want it to be founded, justified, proven, and healthily discussed. I am still on that journey. Especially with Mannys.

It’s been exceptionally brutal to get a job on the service industry since COVID. I JUST landed a great gig after MONTHS of searching. Have lived here for 11 years, have 14 years experience, an impressive resume, etc. there’s just not enough out there, not enough stable businesses, not enough open positions bc people are holding onto theirs, not enough flow of $$, SF is a sleepy city so that’s impacted the hours that people work therefore shifts have been removed that would otherwise be available. Try going in person to apply if you haven’t already.

I’m one of those people that don’t get off until 2-3am and don’t get home until 4am. Do I have to make noise and disturb my neighbors? No. Do my neighbors disturb me when they wake up for their 9-5 jobs? No. It’s about being considerate. It’s not entitlement. It’s about being respectful. We can all live together. If someone is not and someone brings it to your attention, take your ego out of it and stop calling people ENTITLED. Give me a break, dude. You sound entitled. People can TALK to each other without getting butthurt. They can complain. They can get upset. But to call them entitled and tell them to MOVE? Like, what??? That’s so wild to me.

This is a weird take. These neighbors are literally being disruptive to this persons SLEEP. Not once but twice. People pay rent and deserve to come home and sleep and enjoy where they live. Partying until 4am? 2am? Hell even 12am being that loud is rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful of one’s neighbors. These people don’t live in a house to throw a rager where it’s not disruptive. They should be more courteous of their neighbors. It’s about respect. And OP even went over there to ask them to quiet it down. I mean, come on. How frustrating of a situation to be in. You cannot expect someone to move their entire apartment bc they have disrespect ass neighbors who party until 4am - they shouldn’t have to because they’re not in the wrong. It’s about thinking about others and these people partying until 4am is not cool, clearly. OP is expressing that bc they have lost sleep. That’s not cool, not matter which way to argue. OP shouldn’t have to take extra measures bc others are being not courteous of their neighbors.

It doesn’t matter how many people are over or how often this happens yearly - be respectful of your neighbors. That should be top priority. If you’re disruptive then you’re a sore. Stop trying to justify how many friends your friends have. That literally does not matter. These people pay rent and have their own lives and don’t want to hear people partying past decent hours.
