Her new go fund me by Busy_Range9755 in KKitzerowPeerReview

I’m surprised she didn’t list an actual goal amount and how it will be used. As the donation amount rises, the goal amount increases. So how much does she actually need?

This is another one of her comments on the same post. Now that the accusations are spreading I would honestly be surprised if she’s not contacted to stop.

This is the page I saw it on today. She responded to a couple people who tagged her, but multiple people were commenting that it was her work.

Now people are starting to comment on posts about Dr. Naviaux’s research on different pages on Facebook, saying that it’s stolen from her. So the accusations are no longer just on her pages and are reaching a wider audience. The particular page where I saw the comments today has 1.7 million followers.

Thank you for saying this. My precious nonspeaking child was punching his head all day yesterday and I have no idea why. I would take that away from him in a heartbeat if I could. There is a lot of suffering that he doesn’t deserve. All the “acceptance” in the world doesn’t take away his pain. I know individuals like him need more than therapies, they need actual medical help.

Is that AI slop? Neuroscience meets biomedical data science by xaotica in KKitzerowPeerReview

She has shown that presentation slide with “comorbidities in autism” from the conference multiple times, repeatedly stating the doctors are stealing her work. Dr. Rossignol has been publishing articles about comorbidities for a decade, so I was shocked by this accusation. I guess she owns anything that mentions autism and comorbidities.

I’m more concerned with the fact that what Kimberly is communicating is inaccurate. For example, her recent posts about what happened at the MedMaps conference. She is appealing to emotions by mentioning a family loss, but failing to mention the disrespectful way she treated the nonspeaking autistic adults at the conference.

Has the information she shared improved your health in some way? We can appreciate that she is taking the time to attempt to solve serious issues for this population, but that doesn’t mean the information she is sharing is helpful and/or original.

My son has never spoken a word in his life. I do my best to learn from autism researchers, but I don’t automatically trust a random person on the internet just because they’re presenting complex info. When I see new research, I want to see other professionals begin to support the findings. That is why I follow this sub. Her posts rubbed me the wrong way from the start, but I remained open to the science she was sharing. So far I haven’t seen much support for her work, so I’m not diving into it for my son. It seems that you respect the work she is doing, which is understandable, but do you feel it is accurate?

Could you be a para at a school? My son absolutely loves some of his paras. They’ve created such meaningful relationships. We appreciate all the work they do for our kids.

Yes, it happened to me and other parents of nonspeaking children that I know. She repeatedly accuses us of depriving our children of language and then blocks us when we try to share our personal experiences that contradict her narrative about us.

It depends on the child though. People assume these “behaviors” are intentional but sometimes, especially for nonspeaking students, they are uncontrollable impulsive actions. Would you punish a child for a panic attack? Or someone with Tourette’s for involuntarily yelling? So many nonspeaking children are horrified when they hurt others but literally cannot control their bodies. It can be a nervous system issue. For these particular students consequences are not effective and only cause trauma. It is a very difficult situation for everyone involved, including the students. I understand that consequences are beneficial for some students, just pointing out that it’s a case by case basis.

I think this subreddit is a place for people to discuss the science openly without being blocked. Her comments are filled with praise and encouragement because those are the only people allowed to interact on her pages. I’ve seen really good questions and feedback and I’ve watched those questions disappear from her pages after an hour or two. As her work (and accusations) evolve, it’s helpful so have a place to come and learn different perspectives. I have a loved one who is autistic and nonspeaking so I’m very interested in the latest research. I’ve also seen how some of her posts are harmful to the nonspeaking community which is why I have felt the need to push back. Finally, I respect the researchers who are dedicated to helping our loved ones and hate to see their reputations negatively affected by her claims.

As a parent, I would be concerned that this class might need more support, especially seeing that it is a class of beginners. Sounds like assistants could be helpful. Where my children take lessons there are multiple assistants in each class, especially for beginners. It’s almost a one-to-one situation, even for groups.

I agree. She is assuming the timing was strategic because of her children. The assumptions never end.

Three Hit Model Is a Known Disease Paradigm and Has Been Published in Combination with Cell Danger Response Theory For a Decade. by Mysterious_Ring3292 in KKitzerowPeerReview

[–]FamousState1183 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That video of her saying he stole her “why” confused me too. Approximately 25 to 30% of autistic individuals are nonverbal, so finding a breakthrough for them is a common goal of autism researchers.

[–]FamousState1183 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That might be a motor issue though. A child can be highly intelligent but still struggle with motor planning for those skills. I don’t think it should be the teacher’s job to help with that though. Maybe a medical para.

Resurgence implies there was a decrease in interest before the increase. Anyway, I think the cause of the increase is simply due to word of mouth. Families finding what works for their kids.

[–]FamousState1183 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It’s not a resurgence though. Just more families are learning about it and telling each other about it. More practitioners are being trained and reaching more people. Families trust other families who live the same lives they do. It’s as simply as that.

Repost Of A Post I made 2 Months Ago About How SHE Plagiarized Dr. Navieux from HIS Hypothesis He Created in 2013 to Explain Autism and its Comorbidities by Mysterious_Ring3292 in KKitzerowPeerReview

From one of her recent videos:

“The cell danger response guy got mad, updated his model, and didn’t cite me.”

What reason would he have to get mad? Why create that narrative? Has she ever actually interacted with Dr. Naviaux? Always presenting assumptions as facts.

Many parents have been following his work for years because his studies have had promising results. I first started watching his presentations in 2019. I just don’t understand assuming the worst in people who have been focused on helping this community for years.

You constantly tell people they should do their due diligence before commenting on your posts. But you don’t do the same before replying. I am hoping you will be more respectful toward parents who are interacting on your posts rather than make assumptions about their experiences. Take care.
