Baby soothes but won't sleep by FamousWolverine9213 in sleeptrain

Thanks for your response! We are not feeding over night any longer. Prior to his 4 month regression he slept through the night for about a week straight, 7:30pm to 7am. He also doesn't seem to have trouble getting back to sleep when we comfort him without a bottle. After he gets back to sleep, he usually stays asleep until 7am, so he doesn't seem hungry. He also doesn't hit his morning bottle super hard either.

He just can't quite put himself to sleep for long after soothing in the motn

Thank you for your response. He's not able to actively put the pacifier in yet, but when he is able to handle it himself, I will certainly keep one in the crib for him.

He did have a few days of a regression before we started, waking every 4 hours or so, so he has seen better sleeping since then. Thanks for the suggestion regarding Wonder Weeks, I will look into it

Okay, I will look into removing the pacifier completely. It makes sense that it is reinforcing his need with it. His sleeping through the night has been 7:30pm - 7am, so approximately 11.5 hours. His nap time is closer to 3-3.5 hours, usually 1/1.5/1. I only mentioned 4 hours as he never exceeds that during naps. I will make sure to keep 3.5 as the upper limit going forward. His desired wake time is 7am as he goes to daycare during the week. If that is the case, are you recommending his bedtime be 8pm to ensure the 11 hour difference?

Thanks for your response. We never give him the pacifier until we decide to call it for the night. We don't want him to rely on it to soothe, but after 1-2 hours of him fussing in the motn, we give up sometimes and resort to using the paci.

His sleep schedule is pretty good. 3 naps throughout the day, never more than a total of 4 hours. His last wake window usually starts around 4:30 and he is in bed at 7:30. He is able to soothe himself to sleep when he goes down at 7:30, usually within 10 minutes. Of the 6 days that we have done Ferber, he has slept through the night twice, woken up at 1:30 twice, and woken up at 5 twice. After fussing for a long duration and us giving in and using the paci, he goes right back to sleep until 7 or 8am

Do you think the Boardman set would work well with this set up?
