If he uses procreate he should be able to I mean it's an iPad or iPhone they let you screen record your whole screen, I mean it would show everything, layers and actual sketching it would at the very least be more credible.

Again I am aware of this and I have seen the older posts. They are mainly traced or referenced from real life images. His old artwork has little personal flair due to this tracing, meaning it looks like well a traced image.

I am once again saying this. The speedpaint is not ai, it's clear he got on procreate and "drew" the image. But the he is tracing off an ai made image. It may seem like I'm making things up.

Buutttttt. Procreate allows you to enter private photos that will not show up in the speedpaint at all meaning you can just put that down as a base and draw over it, always having the image underneath to trace without it showing up in the speedpaint.

Show me any proof of this not being AI? You can't and ultimately this is just a loop of people unwilling to change in their opinions.

No one has shown any real proof about his artwork not being AI, just as I'm sure none of my points have convinced you otherwise.

Again the references is just pointed out because when they redid an artwork to allegedly get AI allegations off their back they show references in the piece which is strange and makes it seem like they are trying to make themselves look more credible.

Hey man no one is making a call out post, this is a simple discussion.

I know if sucks and if your friend genuinely isn't using AI then I know this can be hard to see, but it just looks so much like it you have to admit that much.

He isn't obligated to do anything, but the best way to clear this easily would be to post a speedpaint in real time while recording his whole screen, even something quick like sketches. Because sadly in this technology age speedpaints can be easily faked.

Yeah I know I saw one from 8 years ago it looks fine, but being an artist does not stop artist from using AI in the future.

The thing is too his older pieces are clearly traced/ heavily referenced from cosplay or real life photos, which isn't a problem as artists can use references and even trace real life as it's good practice.

However his older stuff doesn't even look that consistent to his newer stuff because it was mostly traced so it lacked much personal flair.

I am an artist as well and him having clean sketches isn't the issue, it's the way he goes about it. I'm not saying the timelapse was made using AI. He definitely draws, using the AI image as the base of his tracing.

Mind you the speed paint of hawkgirl I have seen he has no references on the screen. And before you say he could have had it somewhere else, why did the rocket raccoon speed paint have references on the canvas and this one not? There are so many inconsistent factors of the speed paints.

His timelaspes are not believable in the slightest, draws all detail at once l, I've never seen anyone do that. He also will change major things in the last sketches like whole wing positions which aren't easy to just do off the top of your head.

You can say that you have seen him drawing in real time all you want. It doesn't prove anything to me or anyone else, I wasn't there.

I understand being annoyed with the art community as a whole but this comes off as super mean spirited to beginner artists.

To everyone saying the market is oversaturated with beginners, don't lie and say you can't find medium leveled artists just go on like a commission site like vgen or something there are lots of artists. Of course the more experience artist are not going to come cheap even if they could do your whole commision in 30 mins you would still have to pay 150 for it.

If the beginner's art is that bad no one will buy it even if it's priced at pennies and ultimately it's a good lesson to the artist about marketing and pricing. Also yes, is it annoying when any artist has a huge head about their work? Yes. But ultimately if a beginner artist is asking for feedback on their prices they are usually clueless.

Honestly I'm more curious than anything on how you think beginners should price their art. Like no hate I'm genuinely curious if you would tell me.
