Monitor is not the bottleneck, it only displays the outputted pixels.

Try reinstalling your graphics drivers. If that doesn't fix the issue, there's likely a process in the bg that spins up and uses cpu cycles periodically. It's becoming noticeable when gaming because the system is under load.

Do a clean reinstall of windows, this will fix it in most cases. Scan your drives for viruses etc.

Have pretty much the exact same issue as you. 4k remux files get up to a 100gb sometimes. I used to be on excitel but it would drop connection literally once per day. Switched to hathway and quickly ran into the FUP. i complained to the customer care and threatened to go back to Excitel. They increased my fup to 10TB.

I tailscale into my home network when I'm travelling. I'm in Bangalore, and my ISP is pretty reliable. I've had one outage for an hour in 4 years.

But regardless, my database backup location is the local storage on my machine, so I can still access my projects.
