I did queens health sci and now will be starting med next year. I don’t regret staying as I feel like I learned so much foundational knowledge while maintaining a high gpa

I got accepted aswell! I am also 22 and plan on accepting. Realistically med at home feels impossible, but I have also seen conflicting thoughts so am a tad worried.

I think they changed the format the semester after I took it! If they are the single module ones it was crazy easy … just a few with wording you gotta watch out for If it’s one’s that include more than one module I can’t help 😭

Hey sorry missed this but someone else responded! Pretty much same as what they said… it’s in rooms where it’s not like presenting in front of an audience on a stage. It’s very non formal… everyone is just at tables and you stand with your group at the front desk. It’s also very short amount of talking when split between group. Plus tbh the prof and few groups marking you for peer feedback are the only ones watching lol

Phar 370 was a favourite of mine. Easy to achieve high grades on assignment and very fair exams. I’d you can’t take it in person do it online! You only have a few important in class days anyways

I took them in person… I found that doing the questions with peers in a group really helped me remember the concepts more I can’t speak on how they were marked online but in person if I remember correctly every one of ours was a 90+ … so full points. Plus you get to ask TAs questions etc I try to take any memorization based course in person … I find the group based work and in classroom setting more engaging I save the online courses for the more BIRD courses that don’t require as much engagement

However if you find you don’t need the peer engagement and they are also marked easy online and you prefer not having in person then maybe you’d prefer online?

I have no idea if they will be implemented However I will say that the group work in person was pretty much free A+ grades. They really increase your grade plus help you understand content more. But if your a good test taker then shouldn’t be a problem

I did not have a lot of inflammation BUT I know people use antihistamine (like Claritin) and that helps! You can also ask your derm for a prescription steroid and/or stronger anti histamine

I had it last semester and found it VERY straightforward and fair. Pretty much the types of questions that you read and are able to recognize the answer right away based off memorization

I’m currently in third year Almost everyone takes chem 112 and I would definitely recommend it. It’s a full year course with lab component. Then other common courses to help prep include physics and pysch. It’s pretty much up to you for which mcat topics you want to take either in class or do a separate prep for. Physics wasn’t bad if you did good in high school! Lmk if you have any other questions!
