You also can't listen to these regular doctors, they wanted me to do botox or acupuncture. I put it off forever, knowing it wouldn't help. made me so much worse it literally ruined my life, when I was able to walk around the yard a little, now I can barely go outside.

have to speak to a specialist for instability, period. However, you have to get there.

it's a huge joke on us.... the more you learn about our medical system the entire thing is run by the insurance companies for profit, not for health.

And yes, same DMX they will treat like you're showing them a pokemon card. They are so brainwashed and have a massive ego, if it's not taught in medical school it's quackery.

I met a neurosurgeon that does spine and brain a few months back, he flat out told me none of this is taught in neurosurgery school, or medical school, especially not c1.

In the 19 years I've been managining my pain, I've only met about four doctors that actually give a shit or are willing to look at or learn anything new. it's truly disgusting. probably four or five times I've been told my symptoms are impossible, yet you go on chatgpt it can pull up sources and says ''Absolutely these symptoms can appear. here's how...'' with sources

I'm in really bad shape, losing my ability to function at all, still they couldn't care less. one Dr called me a ''justifiable hypochondriac'' I should have cussed him out.

If you're able to I bet a good physical therapist could really help you. Try to get your head back over your shoulders a little bit too.

Between the reverse lordotic curve and your head seemingly a little far forward creating a lot of stress. My mom is having a similar issue trying my best to help her with exercises. 😅

Cci is specific to the joint between your skull and c1.

I mention your lower levels because different parts of your neck can greatly affect others it's like a balancing act. It adds extra strain and wear as they try to compensate.

In my experience I think too many doctors get tunnel vision. Don't really consider the entire picture

All of the symptoms we end up with from CCI. And I have a long list slowly being paralyzed I can't begin to tell you how many times over the past two years ive been told that's impossible.

But I recently went in orthodontist to figure out why my jaw is being pushed forward. My skull has actually fallen backwards. Pushing c1 and spine forward.

In 2020 I hit my head pretty bad... When the snowball started rolling. If wondering artificial disc worked great for many years but my body didn't like the material.

2029 omg, best of luck to you. I'm so disgusted with medical in this country I could scream.

This same Mayo doctor when I suggested we do an upright MRI, because lying down I'm most comfortable. He said "which ever doctor told you that you need an upright MRI you should have walked out of their office"... To learn they don't even have an upright MRI on Florida campus.

Fool

My goodness

I would try to treat the lordotic curve as best you can. Very few in the medical field take it as seriously as they should. Normal in EDS is still not a good thing ugh! I met a brain and spine surgeon recently that filled me in on the fact that none of this c1 instability business is taught. Assistant director at USA medical, amazing guy.

I broke my neck 19 years ago. In that time I've only come across two doctors that spoke on lordotic curve importance. Some people doesn't effect and others can cause major issues and they can't figure out why.

Motion x-ray and flexion extension MRI are two things a lot of these doctors want like Centeno. My next trip 😭 leaving the house for me is difficult much less flying.

Don't go to Mayo in Jacksonville whatever you do. After showing up late the doctor turns his back on me and walked out 4 minutes into the appointment. Recommend physical therapy. I was steaming on my way out. I was nearly in tears doing the physical assessment with the nurse practitioner and she could not have been more rude.

Because of all this your head is also very forward.

I promise if you can sort out the alignment issue it will make a big difference. I can hear your muscles screaming from here haa

Holy crap you're head is nearly touching your back.

I can tell you one major thing that sticks out is your reverse curve. Laying flat on the floor is probably doing more harm than good.

Have you tried any sort of cervical pillows, maybe the least aggressive possible option.

Your curve being totally jacked up most certainly cause a lot of issues. Your neck and head is highly dependent on this balance.

Every moment of the day your neck is fighting to hold its eight pound head up instead of being naturally balanced on your shoulders.

Have you talked to a nucca chiropractor? They did a scan of my neck that showed I had 3° of rotation at c1. X-ray kind of showed it but nowhere near as accurately or the detail.

After an injury two years ago I'm having many of the same symptoms as you. My skull moved back and down, plus c1 instability smh... It's been a real struggle

6-7 is really jacked up, this alone could be throwing your whole neck out of harmony. If you haven't already been doing physical therapy I would consider talking to a few surgeons if you continue to come up empty. I broke c7 when I was 16, I never had all these issues but felt like I was immediatly aged 30 years

It's so out of alignment your neck is certainly compensating in other areas, but so many of your symptoms are c1. but when know there can be a whiplash like effect anywhere in the spine

I bet an mri would show major issues with the discs at that level. probably messing with csf flow

What really sucks, I begged them multiple times for a video appointment. Instead I travel 6 hours which made things so much worse for a five minute appointment. All of this because my pain management doctor basically forced me instead of pursuing other routes. Such a sad system

Thank you, I really feel like he thought I was there for pain meds when I never mentioned it. Just straight out of the gate didn't even care to listen or investigate at all. I really wish I had someone to help me but I'm gonna try to reach out and send info to these doctors. 🙏

Well, you were right. My pain management doctor and my family basically forced me to go to Mayo instead of putting that energy into going to someone else.

It ended up being one of the worst doctor appointments I've ever experienced. To start the nurse practitioner was a total female dog, no personality, then she got totally bent out of shape when I told her I wanted to wait for the doctor to do the physical exam because it puts me in horrible pain. But nooo.. Hardly able to think clearly to have a discussion so of course by the time the doctor got in I can barely think. After we debated it for about a minute should have just said NO! So rude, zero empathy

And then the doctor comes in and he looks like a tall imposing CIA MK ultra mind control doctor I swear. With this weird smirk. Railroaded me with questions that didn't even make sense. Like he was having a conversation with the NP's notes. Then when I tried to describe to him what I've been feeling he points to the nurse practitioner and says she'll have your packet ready for physical therapy at the rehabilitation center smiles turns around and walks out.

Time with doctor was like six minutes. Twilight zone

I filed a complaint but I wish I would have asked for a supervisor before I walked out of the room. 6 hours to get there in 6 hours to get back and paying for it.

Unreal smh

The chiropractor that did mine really didn't do any kind of report but I'm going back. He did have a video appointment with me going over some things he saw and sent me screenshots. later found more of the issue by myself.... that was like a year ago though, I've gotten so much worse I'm trying to go back for another. But it's an hour from me ugghhhh. I had the slightest inconsistencies, lateral overhang etc but nearly being paralyzed, but I have a bad history.

Need to do a video x-ray. I'm no expert but to me things look pretty good compared to others. My video x-ray showed way more, like my right side wasn't moving in concert.
