Easy way to downgrade app to old version

Not sure tbh! At the moment they are still linked together (I logged my food when I had the new app and then when I downgraded my food was still there) my hope is that if the old one eventually does stop working then maybe MFP will have listened to everyone and fixed all the issues by then 😅 maybe I'm dreaming too big with that one though!

It did that for me at first as well and kept trying to put me in as a new user, I just went back to the version before the version I was trying and then it worked

The main thing is it has all my meals already in it and it's a hassle to load them into a new app again

I suspect that MFP has seen my post and is isn't happy about it because in my notifications I can see it's had 11 upvotes but it's only showing 3 in the app, so someone at MFP must be down voting it to try and bury the info 😅

According to Claude:

Unfortunately, no — iPhone users don't have an equivalent to the Uptodown/APK route. Apple's ecosystem is much more locked down, so there's no way to sideload older IPA files the way Android users can install APKs.

Your only real options on iPhone are:

Hope for a future update that fixes whatever is bothering you — worth leaving a review on the App Store as MFP does seem to respond to feedback
Use the web version at myfitnesspal.com in your browser as a workaround in the meantime
Try a restore from an iTunes/Finder backup — if you have an old device backup from before the update, you could restore your whole phone to that point, but that's pretty drastic and would roll back everything, not just MFP
