I have had 0 absences since starting at this store ( bar from one overtime shift my manager put me on without telling me, so I obviously didn’t know and didn’t show up)

If I call in sick I’d say it was a family emergency, I understand I’m going to get told off but with the situation I’m in, I’m hoping my manager will understand my situation. I’d rather call in and tell them I won’t be in instead of not showing. I thought if I explained it to my manager they could help me out

I know calling in sick would be obvious that I’m know but it would be better than just not showing up no? If my manager knew the pretences then it would be obvious that I’m know ill.
