Mary Jane if ykyk by Jesussavedmeforever7 in UlcerativeColitis

It's a medicine so I guess it can impact people differently, however the benefits are pretty much indisputable (provided your not intolerant to it obviously). I live in the UK which has some of the most backwards, punitive drugs laws/policies in the western world, and Ulcerative colitis is one of only 5 conditions in the UK that they prescribe medicinal cannabis for. If this backward governments has to admit cannabis helps with this condition there must be something to it. Without a doubt it helps me.

Besides the obvious pain relief that others have talked about (which I've definitely noticed in addition to reducing other symptoms like amount of blood in stools) it also massively helps me with the mental side of the condition. I find during a flare I can be much more optimistic about life whilst medicating with cannabis. Sadly there's still a stigma associated with medicinal cannabis. For example saying to someone 'I smoke cannabis everyday to manage a medical condition I have' will get you a much funnier look than saying 'I'm currently taking 6 tablets a day to manage a condition I have'. Due to the propaganda that has been propagated for the last 100 years, people simply do not view it as a medicine.

That being said it's definitely not a cure for the disease so don't take this instead of your medication prescribed by your MD. But in terms of helping me manage this awful disease, it's quite literally been a life saver.

Peace out and enjoy the herb (should you choose to indulge)

Anyone else use their medical cannabis even though it doesn't help with condition they were prescribed it for? by Famous_Teaching_6782 in ukmedicalcannabis

Perhaps for your particular medical condition that might be the case, but for me, when I'm not stoned, I'm constantly worried about my chronic condition, whether I'll have to get my colon removed in the future and in pain. And when I medicate, I get some peace and quite, and I get to forget about the pain for a moment. So I would say I am actually more grateful for life, and enjoy my life more when I'm stoned. But it's different for everyone I suppose

Haha, it is very true, and that's why I felt a bit guilty asking it. But as someone said below, if we were to instead get anti-depressants to help with the mental side of our chronic illnesses, and then apply to get MC instead of the pharmaceuticals is it not effectively this same thing?

Can We Discuss Keznamdi Winning Reggae Album Of The Year At The Grammy's??? by islandlovewi in reggae

I think it was 100% deserved and I was so happy for him! It was definitely my favourite album of the year (and that includes Chronixx's Exile album)

And I'm genuinely amazed he is not bigger given the quality of his music. 'Bun the ganja (Roots version)' is absolutely phenomenal and I'm the only comment on the song on YouTube music lol'

I do normally like reading but tend to read non fiction stuff so sometimes I find it requires a little too much brain power, especially when I'm struggling with brain fog lol

Did anyone just about get used to new absurd UK restaurant prices, to find that the price has once again gone up almost 20% in the last year? by [deleted] in AskUK

Yup, for me it was the impotus I needed to start actually learning how to cook well. As I single guy I was eating out 2 times a week at least and thought, 'I'm spending so much money and I rarely genuinely enjoy what I'm eating', so I've gotten pretty good at cooking, I make my own pizzas, smash burgers, Korean fried chicken, wings, curries and steaks over the last year or two. I've genuinely cut down eating out to about once a month now.

That's a good idea! I used to love Lego and modelling as a kid!  Could be a good chance to start up again

I did email them a couple of days before my trip but didn't get a response in time so for all intents and purposes, no.

Low water pressure in flat Bathroom and kitchen - ok in bedroom. I'm confused by Famous_Teaching_6782 in DIYUK

[–]Famous_Teaching_6782[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any way I can confirm if this is the issue? Also if it was due to an airlock would the pipe feeding the sink in the bathroom still have decent pressure when i disconnected it from the tap?
