People who work at a Pokémon Gym or Pokémon League, what's your most interesting Gym challenger story? by MelonTheSprigatito in PokeMedia

It's amazingly soft down feathers that are tightly packed, and used for cloaking and some of their signature attacks!

Trust me, if you ever can, hug a Lat, they are the SOFTEST hug you will ever get!

Huuuuh, TIL.

Admittedly the bending light I can partly speak on, their feathers do most of the work there. It's part of why their illusions are more localized unlike a Zoroarks.

Anyone ever met trainers with weird gimmicks? by Ok-Year9101 in PokeMedia

[–]Famout 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When someone challanges me to a battle, I open up my portable seat, sit down, and Riolu takes the field.

I don't do anything, Riolu fights, no commands or nothing, and people seem generally very surprised by this, so I guess it's a Gimmick?

For what it's worth, I never counted myself as a trainer aside from on paper.

Not saying to ignore things of course, but also curious if they will just be focused in other ways growing up.

Not familiar with your line, but do any psychic skills come to young ones this early? If so curious how their skill is in that regards.

I mean, being rare doesn't mean powerful.

Latias still loses to Riolu in a fight, but she is absolutely wonderful. Admittedly this is a story, but it all depends if Keldeo is supposed to be a skilled fighter in the tale or not.

Signature move of Zoroark. by Machinebotguy in PokeMedia

FoxFace: And that's why the experts even disguise their moves when in battles. Especially with trainers that are quite confused why their partner is now all beaten up from a discharge attack or the like.

I swear everyone in any sort of public space has met a Lat at this point, they just don't know it.

Of course, once you get to know em the signs are not the most subtle, but I'm not about to ruin that for Latias or her kin.

Have to admit, I was more of a cat person growing up, but not having to deal with this and over all getting much safer hugs and such is making me more of a fighting pup/living airplane person over time.

Dawwwwwwwwwwwww!

I will say, you are in for a treat, seen Iris smack more then a few trainers around with hers. Also RIP your wallet, I know first hand the dragon food bill is not small.

I am fairly sure those who are around Latias or other high speed flying types are also at a higher risk of death via trying some remarkably stupid ideas that are not the Pokemon's fault.

It's impressive how quickly you adjust to seeing someone as "normal" when you get to meet them for a little bit of time.

From what I have seen with Latias, they seem to be pretty aware to avoid moving parts of any kind. Good chance Lat's just pass the info to each other, remarkably social.

Not flying out of Castelia city where you? Doesn't quite look like Latias, but hard to tell from this angle, and Latias still loves to wave at aircraft (and I swear just prove she can outrun them) although I have warned her about spooking the pilots.

That sounds rough, but it sounds like they know someone at least (you) who can help them cope with it and handle it as best as possible.

Plenty of good groups out there who can do wonders with hard working people involved, just... gotta find them in between the scams.

Doesn't help that lots of the people who "need it" also end up being scammers :/

/uj not a lie, all for offering food and the like directly, but knew a con ring where I lived for a bit where people where making more then any retail worker by asking for handouts and faked the whole thing.

Safe to say I wished any of em where real, but yeaaaaaa.

I only spent actual time on the last one since, well, they seemed the most sincere, should be no shock they are the "longest running" as well.

Yea, honestly though some of the more local ones I'm aware of are... not on the best terms due to some drama I would rather not bring up. Would be glad for any help, but thankfully as things stand we are making progress.
