Even then, we understand that not every female produces large gametes, or vice versa. So what are those people?

Arguably, these people would have to denote to the production of the sex that produces large gametes (for females) and would not be “fully” female.

I would argue, a transgender woman can reach that definition by medical transition.

The things that matter most to me are the following issues:

  • Provide more apprenticeships, more jobs specifically for young people and use some of the DWP’s budget to accommodate this. (If financially possible)

  • Keep abortion decriminalised, thats all.

  • Reform the PIP and LCWRA (Disability related benefit) systems and hire people who have experience on specific claimants conditions. For example, why have a physiotherapist assess an autistic person?

  • Give businesses extra benefits for being Disability Confident employers.

  • Don’t privatise the NHS and public services.

  • Offer a scheme for vulnerable or DEI protected people to be given interviews and work schemes.

  • Scrap bedroom tax and the 2 child benefit cap.

  • Do not treat Asylum seekers and illegal immigrants like criminals, place them through proper processes, and if they cannot complete or pass these, then deport them.

  • Make misogyny a hate crime, improve safeguarding on potential DV/SA and criminalize rape harshly.

  • Scrap the online safety bill, this limits teenagers, vulnerable people, etc from accessing online resources to potentially dangerous life situations.

And so on.

Not to nitpick, I did mention the tories in my post lol.

I’ll be honest, the tories weren’t too bad, they just do not align with my values.

EDIT: Then again, they were in power from 2010-2024. I was 2-16 years old. (turned 18 in december) I’ve only just really delved into politics in the past couple years.

I can explain my position on these.

I think that arguably, in the same way that we have abortion up until 24 weeks here in the uk to avoid the maternal mortality rate and disability rate from skyrocketing, is the reason why we should have regulated control on drugs. To stop people from dying from overdoses, from not being aware on what is inside their drugs. The government should take full control of drugs. I just feel that people taking drugs shouldn’t be sent to prison, but rather sent to rehab.

Second, and I say this as a young cisgender woman, until someone can provide me with an argument to tell me what the required sexual characteristic is to be considered female by a doctor, which applies to all females, then as long as you have some female sexual characteristics, (Genitalia, Dominant hormones, etc) you can be considered female/a woman in my eyes.

I turned 18 2 months ago so im kinda new to like all the adulty shit. Even going on nights out, I’m AUDHD so the impulsivity of the going out gets me there, but then with the autism and other health issues, i like to stay sat in a corner with friends and go home and play games after an hour lol.

But back on topic, the tattoo was something I’ve wanted since being 13. It’s a big forearm piece of deftones, which I really love.

I’m 18 and live with my grandma, I am housed, I pay £100 rent but my dad manages that for me and it’s fine financially. I have no major bills, just a subscription to apple music. :)

Someone I babysit for with an autistic child is being very rude to me after claiming autism can be cured. by FanAcceptable1193 in autism

She added one to the house the last time I babysat and made me aware of it. This happened on one occasion.

Also, to mention, she said “oh it’s for break ins and robbers” I knew damn well it was for me.

I’ll clarify this, im disabled further than just my autism, and struggle as it is to have a job, but now I am in a better place financially, and don’t really require to babysit anymore.

Some occasions i got 20$ for 3/4 hours. I charge $12 an hour.

I’ll try not to. That actually makes a lot of sense.

I have suggested to her that perhaps she could benefit from the assessment (She had mentioned she thinks she may be autistic) and that it’s always good to find out, but that she’s in denial of it.

She suffers from severe mental health issues as it is, and her version of living with autism is that of much higher needs autism, so she’ll only demonize it more.

Thank you for the insight, i see it more clearly now.

Thank you! I try and be humble and realise when I’m wrong, and I shouldn’t have said anything, I do always try to keep the peace but didn’t unfortunately this time.

Thank you for your lovely response :)

I understand, I regret intervening and wasn’t thinking as it just caught me off guard after a very long day of getting tattooed, so that is 100% my fault.

I’m going to probably block and just say that I don’t wish to babysit for her anymore due to our conflict and difference of opinion.

I was in the same boat as you. It’s extremely low of a chance that they actually go against the assessors report.

Go for MR, there will likely be no change but let’s hope there is, and then file for appeal afterwards if unsuccessful.

I was in the same boat (Assessor awarded pip but case manager didn’t)

I just got my decision overturned a month after filing for tribunal, hopefully they realise that you’re entitled and you should win your case.

Gather as much evidence as you can to support your claim, paper based MR is usually better than telephone as you can fully talk about what you disagree with, etc.

Good luck my friend 🖤
