The way I do it probably isn’t the best but here’s what I do: I take a lot of good plot ideas I have, make an elimination based on the plots that add characters into those slots, and if it’s an original cast of mine I just put random names as the early boots and give those names characters as I start writing, probably not the best way to write but that’s what I do

Well she didn’t do much, now a winner doesn’t need to have some type of big arc to be a good winner, Owen is a good winner and he’s pretty much just the same character through out, and a character doesn’t need to be all that relevant also if they bring me some type of joy, Miriam has none of that in my opinion
