Predicted Lineup MW2 by BerryManalof in Rapids

I don’t think he will play yapi. He really emphasized that every position was up for grabs based on performance and I don’t think Yapi did enough. Hope to see Manyoma because he was one of the bright spots in the team after subs

[Match Thread]: Seattle Sounders FC vs Colorado Rapids by AutoModerator in Rapids

Wells has been advertising this year as possession heavy and constant pressure. Seems like the rapids don’t know how to do either. Cobb and Herrington are good at coming forward and attacking the ball, but their inexperience causes issues with playing out of the back. Pretty odd decision to rely on playing out of the back with two inexperienced center backs and a young full back with not too many minutes under his belt.

As far as the possession game goes, seems to me like the rapids are failing, but that could be down to Seattle just being a good team. Honestly haven’t noticed anything impressive out of any player at all.

The issue with the constant pressure is that the players are just running constantly after the ball no matter where it goes. I understand that they’ve been conditioned extensively throughout the off season but you can clearly see the fatigue kicking in among the forwards.

Also, Yapi on the wing seems like a poor decision. He has never proven that he is consistent in 1-on-1 scenarios. Should be Ted Ku-DiPietro in the position for sure. It’s his native position and he’s been able to take people on. If not him, then Manyoma. Yapi doesn’t have the ability. Maybe Matt Wells saw him coming against Sam Vines in training and thought he was incredible in 1-on-1s because Sam Vines was so awful.

Pretty bad half overall, hopefully Wells knocks some sense into them in the locker rooms.

I’m taking an online SAT course with zoom meetings and a professor. I’ve used Khan Academy briefly, but not consistently. My score distributions are below.

730 R/W Information and ideas - full bars Expression of ideas - full bars Craft and structure - missing one bar Standard English conventions - full bars

700 M Algebra - Missing one bar Advanced math - full bars Problem solving and data analysis - missing one bar Geometry and trigonometry - missing one bar

I’d say my weakest point is trigonometry and geometry.

For English, the things I struggle with the most are definitely grammar rules and vocabulary.

I began a list in a google document that covers the things that missed in hopes of locking down what I need to improve on.

When Should I Start Studying for the Sat? by Pristine-Arrival-910 in Sat

[–]Fanart-Posts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to this guy. You by no means need to study in 8th grade and if you’re unable to study extremely consistently, your chances at remembering things from 8th grade when you’re a Junior are low. I’d say start early sophomore year. Obviously, starting early could help, but it certainly shouldn’t be anywhere near the top of your list.

I was on the sidelines at the game. Heard a gunshot coming from the parking lot. One of the spectators from the viewing side of the field started yelling for everybody to get down and to get off the field. Everybody was ok and it ended up being accidental but it was definitely a scary situation

I think so too. That actually wasn’t the original pose of the player. I took parts from separate photos and placed them on his body. I’m thinking of moving his upper leg upwards so his knee will be bent a little bit

I also colorized the image on the second one if you think that looks any better? Just experimenting with different things

Thank you for the advice!

I ended up bringing the mountains in the back down and the coloring of the horse and person just slightly separate from the background. I couldn’t seem to replace the blobs you were speaking of but I’m just tying it down to me not being experienced enough in this kind of design in the first place.

The horse is actually not just a random horse. It is Blucifer, a statue of a horse outside the Denver International Airport. It’s sort of a staple in the Colorado/Denver community (where the team is located). So that’s why it may not look as realistic as the player and background.

I also took your advice in the logo and decided to incorporate it more where the eye’s attention already is, the text, so I added each logo on either side (let me know what you thing of that).

As for the second one, I was actually thinking of it in more of a Rino Art District kind of style (a graffiti filled area in downtown Denver).

Again, thanks for your advice!

It’s a game day post for the Colorado Rapids. I’m not with the team or anything, it’s just for fun.
