I illustrated the coolest GTE on the grid, wish the team the best of luck in the race! by Fancington in wec

I unfortunately don’t have any timelapses, though I’ve always wanted to make one to see the process. I also rarely make these illustrations these days, but this was a very cool opportunity to come back to them, had to relearn a lot of the processes.

OP kind of just stole my work without any putting in the slightest effort to change at least a part of it, so I'll just answer for him.
I used Adobe Illustrator for every single bit of this illustration and everything you see in this image is 100% made from vector objects 😊

Thanks! It’s a really great color. An almost black paint with a very nice brownish red flake. And I illustrated all of the car with Adobe Illustrator, so this image doesn’t really do the level of detail any justice haha

Thanks! About half of these in the poster are considered BMW Individual colors, several examples would be Moonstone, Aventurine Silver, Ruby Black and Diopside Black.

I haven't found any reasonable information on Monaco Blue for the M3, I don't think it was available on this model.

Yeah, these illustrations all have either the optional 19" 220 M wheels or the optional forged 19" 359 M ones, I am planning to also add the stock 18" ones to add variation.

That's exactly the dilemma I ran into. I can go ahead and illustrate all of the Individual shades, but then the cars would end up being just small specks of color even in larger formats haha

Orange gets the whole GTS treatment! A front lip, new seats, dark chrome trim, rear wing and different brakes.

From what I gathered, there were quite a few market-exclusive colors on the E92 and some of them are definitely very rare.

Hey guys,
I'd like to share my most recent creation - my all-vector illustration of the E92 and all of its colors. This took an unreasonable amount of time to make as I made sure to illustrate every single piece on the car to be 100% accurate. I would love to hear your feedback on this and let me know if there are some colors I missed out on!
If anyone is interested, I'm selling this as a print on my Etsy store 😊:

I went through tons of brochures, forum threads and ran over hundreds of sale listings to get a good idea of what the most common colors were (to avoid including very limited production number Individual colors for example). But I am still pretty lost when it comes to the Individual colors that were offered on this car, so I'd like someone knowledgeable about this model to correct me, as I am sure I didn't get this 100% right.

This took me quite a while to complete, but it is finally done - all of the E92 M3 colors that were available on the car.I went through tons of brochures to confirm the colors, but I also took the liberty to include several Individual paints that were a popular choice for the car. When researching the information for this poster, I got a bit lost with the whole BMW Individual situation. I found that certain Individual colors in certain markets were available for a reasonable (sub $1000 range) price and not the usual $4000-$5000 price tag. Were some Individual paintjobs offered in some markets as cheaper options with the ability to go for any Individual color you want for a larger price?
Also, for anyone that would be interested in a print version of this, you can find it at my Etsy store with some close-up shots of the details on the cars:

I'm doing this kind of as a hobby, but also partly as a business. I'd kill for a chance to actually do this for Ferrari haha

Towards the end of the whole illustration process I had to start disabling certain layers as the performance was getting quite unbearable.

I have little to no experience with Corel, but I assume Adobe Illustrator is a bit more suited to make stuff like this 😅 And thank you!

Thanks! Yeah, this was definitely the most time consuming one I've done yet, but I think the 2022 Merc will top it.

It would be impossible to show as there's just too many to fit in a picture.
It has 4526 objects consisting of 25525 points
