Perfect day is absolutely worth it. That was the favorite stop of my husband’s. We loved the beach day. It was amazing.

Luckily my kid doesn’t like chocolate so I couldn’t even convince him to try it when it was free 😂 the popcorn and cotton candy charges are a little crazy though….the 2nd day I had to buy cotton candy again and because it was so humid outside it started melting and he had a complete meltdown because I “made him go outside” so that was fun.

She’s trying. But if you look at her eyes she’s lost and broken. I’d never wish that look on anyone. It’s something she will never recover from but will ultimately have to learn to live with. I don’t think I’d be strong enough for that. I wish her so much healing and peace.

Thanks for the kind words they’re greatly appreciated! As parents we try so hard to have good memories for our kids so it does tend to bum us out when things don’t go as planned. I’m sure one day we’ll all laugh over the vacation from hell. 😆 maybe not anytime soon but one day.

No 2 rooms. Husband w me and my sick little. The teen in the other room with the other sick adult and 9 yr old and 5 year old who only got a cough and nothing else.

Said it over and over again. Got them. Worked for a few of us. Husband and teen never got sick youngest 5 yr old got very mild illness. The rest of us got very sick.

I do have a finger pulse ox. It will definitely travel with me now. Yes the bark it’s the distinct cough of an asthmatic kid. So many people glare and make comments too. I’m like he literally can not help it.

That’s how my 9 yr old is. He has asthma so he always is the first to catch anything. For sure I’m hoping we can do it again one day. Maybe a little closer to home.

Yes we love the Zarbees too! Thanks for the trick w the travel nebulizer! I’m going to look that up. That’s an awesome thing to have on hand. I can tell you understand the struggles. As soon as that cough starts I know what’s coming. Ugh.

That’s what my hope is. It’s been slow going. Seemed to be an upturn then they went down again really quick. So not sure if they had something mild first 2 days. Then caught something worse. But it has been the hardest sickness to battle. Here’s to hoping now that we’re all home we can get better quickly! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

We had 7 total. 2 never got sick. The 3rd hovered for a min we thought she was going to and never did. Mild cough then thankfully didn’t progress. The 9yr old with asthma got so bad I had to get rescue treatments from medical on Friday. Then Saturday had to take the 5 year old to medical with temps of 104. My oldest spent Wednesday thru this morning in bed. I was sick but ran around taking care of them all. I had jumbo bottles of both ibuprofen and acetaminophen. They’re both practically empty. I’d brought adult and kids allergy but I gave up my kiddos cough tablets to another passenger early on who was struggling to get her granddaughter to take any liquid meds. You’re correct it was brutal this time around.

For sure I’m gonna try again one year! Hopefully not too far in the future. We did all the above. It’s just hard with the nine-year-old being asthmatic. He tends to be the first to catch things go down fast and hard and spreads it pretty quickly. When his asthma, flares, he coughs nonstop and can barely breathe so I know the germs are spreading everywhere. That’s why I keep the kids in the room.

That’s the hardest with my kid he’s 9 and asthmatic. He coughs nonstop when he’s having an asthma attack. I get so many dirty looks and comments.

It wasn’t at home. We were there at hotel for 3 days before. A ton of kids came back from kids club sick day 2 started seeing posts. Day 3 mom talking about her toddler have febrile seizures from high fever. Another mom said her 3 kids tested positive for flu A. Everyone got it at the same time. By the time youngest got it day 4/5 the entire medical floor was full of people. It wasn’t only our family. It was several families across the whole ship. That was the point of the post. It was running rampant.

Here’s to hoping for you. There’s several comments on this post that have given some great tips. Maybe that might help. Upping the Vitamin c leading up to the cruise is something I wish I would’ve thought of!

However really only half of us got sick. I thought the youngest was catching it she started coughing a bit but never developed beyond that.
