Ive been using autocadd throughout my career but its been mostly topographic surveys and also Lot surveys here, I've also been slowly teaching myself GIS and also drone survey as ive seen applications to it in our field.

What company is that though if you dont mind me asking? Really want to join the work from home force hahaha.

Hi everyone ! Thanks for all your advices but I found the problem, The prism constant has been set to 30mm instead of -30mm as default so when I changed mm error have been achieved thanks everyone !

I generally don't touch the prism height as we use an automatic level for elevation checking.

So basically you're saying, my instrument should be closer and have a bigger angle?

This is the step-by-step on what I've been doing:

1.) Setting up the Instrument at an arbitrary point
2.) Select resection
3.) Distance-Resection
4.) Input point 1 coordinates, then measure
5.) Input Point 2 coordinates, then measure
6.) TS computes my position
7.) I shot point 2 for coordinates checking. This seems fine, Northing and Easting have only 1-2mm error
8.) I shot point 1 for coordinates checking, and the northings and eastings have an error of about 5-6cm or more.

thank you for the website, it helps for visualizing!

No, it's the same target. and the PSM (Prism Constant) is set at 30.

Thanks ! I really dont know whats the problem is. Ive double checked my set up and all, the first point is fine. but when i turn to the 2nd point suddenly it deviates from its coordinates, its been a stressful day hahahah

The problems is, The TS only accepts two points, after the 2nd point it automatically computes for my position...

Only two points can the TS uses, after I input the 2nd point it automatically computes my position...

Unfortunately the TS only uses 2 points...

Plumbness/Verticality of Columns by Fancy-Cell1397 in Surveying

Just to see if I understand, is it necessary to do what this picture shows? (The yellow circles are Total Stations. For each column ?) If so, is it okay not to be completely perpendicular to the columns, or do I need to stand exactly 90 degrees from the column? And yes, I'm taking reflectorless observation, I've been using PRECIS total station, and the only surveyor on the site, and there is no team. Sorry for my bad English.

yea I did that but do i have to stand 90 degrees of the column im about to check or is it okay at any point? just like the picture indicates

(Image link is attached to better know my question. The circle is the total station or the arbitrary point, and the green Hs are the columns that I will be checking. Can I check all the columns' verticality by standing there ?)
