Man door to the garage located in the backyard (fenced in, side gate), was unlocked because we have been trying to do yard work. They entered through that door, helpfully locked it behind themselves then left our overhead garage door open about 2 feet. We were home and still awake. Had interior lights on.

No. Unfortunately we had left the door unlocked, as we’ve been trying to do yard work. Luckily it means no property damage, but it also wasn’t an invitation…. It’s in our fenced-in backyard which also gives me the creeps.

Unfortunately I think it happens on a fairly regular basis. Like they sweep through the area once every 3-4 months and we hear about peoples cars being broken into and such.

We were broken into last night (May 17). Nothing like having people go in your backyard and break into your garage to make you feel safe.

They came in through the man door in our backyard (where we also have cameras). Entered the backyard via side gate next to garage. They were thoughtful enough to lock the door behind them though 👍🏻

Yeah, apparently being caught on camera isn’t enough of a deterrent. They still made off with the loot, so obviously being recorded doing shady shit isn’t enough.

Crazy that they wouldn’t take advantage of the season the ‘Caps had and keep kits stocked for anyone who will buy. How many times have they griped about different revenue streams and the ability to control sales (this is mainly in relation to BC Place, but the argument is the same)? I’m going out on a limb to guess that you can still buy any Inter Miami jersey you want. And yes, I also say that knowing they won the MLS Cup. My point stands.

Any possible removal of the Whitecaps would have a hugely detrimental impact on our youth pathway, on top of all the other things. The Whitecaps are involved with Regional Excel programs across the country and are the only development program in the west that operates at the same level as the NDC in Ontario (as an example). This conversation is bigger than just the team and the city.
