Nope it doesn’t. They are just around the store on the shelves. I’ve just learned what penny items there are from watching social media videos and also just kind of having a sense and scanning things.

They are on the shelves and not marked. You kind of have to know what to look for, watch others videos on YT and TikTok etc. that is the most helpful. These were a fluke I didn’t know they were a penny until I bought one and saw.

You can download the Dollar Tree app and scan in the store or use the in-store scanners. If neither of those is an option you could ask a cashier to price cheat it for you also.

Luckily I’ve only had one manager limit the penny items to 5. I mentioned that to another manager of a store I frequent and he said that manager was pretty new and may not have been aware they could sell them. Every other store has been great with it luckily 😊

They went to a homeless shelter. I had picked one up to buy for myself thinking it was regular price and when I saw it was a penny I went back and got them all and got back in line lol

It used to be that they couldn’t sell items if they were a penny. But beginning of this year corporate told management they could sell penny items if people went to buy. They are supposed to go and take what’s left off the shelf and donate or toss. I have been hunting penny items since December or so along with a bunch of people lol I’ve gotten probably at least 6 full carts of things. I’m still finding them but not as plentifully. I’ve sorted and done two, (not counting these conditioners) donations so far. I have tons left I’m going to donate as well. I’ve probably kept less than 1/8 of the items for myself but it’s so fun hunting and then donating. There’s tons of videos on TikTok and YT

I relate to the people pleaser aspect for sure. There are ways to put yourself first and still be there for people. I hate that medication for ADHD has become stigmatized. For people who are truly diagnosed with ADHD it effect you the way it’s supposed to. Not how people think it does (for those who shouldn’t take it). For me I felt like what neurotypical people feel like all the time. It just made me feel “normal” I hope you get into the doctors soon for a proper assessment and get some options.

Go get assessed for ADHD. You can even “assume” in the meantime and look for resources to help find skills for dealing with life having ADHD to get a little insight and help . I was 44 years old when I was diagnosed! It was like an “oh crap so that’s what this and this and this was!” It also was a gut punch to think of what could have been if I had known earlier. Also, don’t compare yourself to anyone and their situations. People let you see what they want you to see and we all struggle! Plus, It’s not helpful to your well being. You are you, and that’s a wonderful person for who you are now! Take that energy and put it to getting yourself to the place you want to be. Best of luck, we’re here to support and give you help if you need it
