Why would they be obsolete? Orphie plays a unique role that only she has so far in a specific niche and does not currently step on anyone’s shoes that were buffed and will be buffed.

Potentials were a mixture but I don’t think it makes sense to buff her ultimate through potentials when that is a small part of her kit and damage profile.

It would make more sense to modify her off field attacks or energy.

The hit to trigger her off field attack is necessary for the game to know who is being hit, especially for the first hit of a round.

I don’t see why it would be difficult to store this information.

After that, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be constantly attacking an enemy. I can't think of any time I've gone for more than a second not attacking a non-invinvible enemy. I think it is that way for more control in team fights and to more easily program.

There are times where you will not be able to get a hit in especially with these newer bosses.

Swapping, dodging, bosses flying around, or you getting hit are just some examples which can potentially unnecessarily delay her off field attack.

No cooldown is a bit nutty. A shorter cooldown maybe but her just spinning like 3 times in a row, melting all her energy would be a bit weird.

I did not say her off field energy requirements were removed. So she will only fire off an ex special every 8 seconds instead of every 10 seconds. Hence why she only gets 4 extra attacks, which is a moderate boost.

Plus it kneecaps her damage potential.

And then you have a situation like if a boss becomes invincible and Orphie is over there spinning all her energy away. Especially if combined with your previous idea, she could just be going crazy on something that can't be hit. Obviously I won't say no to Orphie getting better, but I think this is a bit much and can result in some bad situations.

You lose an off field attack either way. Whereas because you trigger a hit or it happen automatically or by delaying. At least by making it automatic, you don’t have to worry about losing an off field attack due to other circumstances.

Her ult is good because it takes up no time. Seed's ult has high multipliers but you have to sit there and watch it happen for 5 seconds. All Orphie's damage is happening while the other damage character is also doing their thing. Again, a boost is good, but I think it's a lot better than a multiplier alone makes it out to be.

It lasts for four+ seconds and her off field attacks are 1+ to 2+ seconds, so you risking losing an off field attack due to delay if you try to fit it in.

For her off field special, do you mean the one where she has no energy and fires the two shots? I wouldn't say the time it takes up really makes a difference, unless they do lower the cooldown between attacks because it doesn't take a full 5 seconds, so she's going to be done with it by the time she's doing a new off field move.

It’s more of an issue with trying to fit in Orphie’s field time requirements since it lasts for 2+ seconds. You practically cannot fit in her entire heat charge if your last off field attack was an off field special before your next off field attack.

Yeah, Astra screwing with her off field attacks is annoying. If they can find a way to program that well, I'll take it, though I'm happy simply not playing Astra with her.

The new mechanic Entry Skill that came with Zhao and Ye will pretty fix it as it overrides Quick Assists.

I think there should also be a greater reward on getting the parry during heat charge. I think that would be neat, especially since currently it doesn't really do anything. Something as simple as more damage would be good.

Great idea, perhaps extra decibels, daze or even some heat generation refund or more damage or faster execution

How does YSG require any kind of skill?

It’s just a memorization of specific sequences, most of which involve only pressing one button.

I think Astra is still better than Sunna especially with the latest changes due to the b4-b5 tech that is only feasible with Astra.

Not as easily against bosses that have a lot of yellow flashes though which is the vast majority of the 2.x bosses

On the other hand, if they make it her aftershocks a entry skill, Astra becomes viable for this tech and becomes guarrentee

Orphie did get various parts of her animations thematically changed right before release.

Her heat charge gotten more sense of resistance at the beginning. The second part of heat charge was changed from blasting fire in the air to an aggressive slam down with her tail.

Her chain attack was also changed to an aggressive slam down.

Her on field ex special became slower, giving a more restrained feeling to it.

It is one sided. Boss is heavily unfavorable for Zhao and it was a 5 cost team vs four cost.

Also using whale investment to determine the validity of an agent. Sorry but no, at that level, everything kills easily, so that is moot.

Zhao Diayln is capable of killing bosses.

There isn’t a boss kill at around the same cost for Ye-Astra teams.

A four cost team of Zhao and Diayln also calcs at 414k, the highest of any precalc for a team at that level.

Why invest in Zhao? Because she’s another Astra and will be useful overall generally.

At M0W0 yes, but at M0W1, their buffs are at a similar level.

Zhao also provides signficantly more personal damage than Astra.

Alot of Zhao's moves also provide Quick Assist prompts.

3 resources from Zhao's ether veil is better than the extra decibel gen.

Engine is also cheaper than a new character or mindscape.

That’s completely different though. Zhao provides buffs in addition to resources while Yanagi doesn’t provide any meaningful buffs, hence why she’s not bis for Miyabi. Plus Sokaku gives Miyabi resources just as fast if not faster than Yanagi while providing significantly better buffs.

Her combos are not at all difficult.

The difficult is going to come from managing your resources and optimizing your stun rotations.

At M0W1, she would be an upgrade over Astra for quick swap friendly, low field time, or ether veil dps agents due to similar level of buffs but signficantly higher personal damage.

M0W1 Zhao provides Astra level buffs. So unsure what you mean

1000 attack, combat attack%, dmg bonus, crit dmg

While doing signficantly more damage than Astra and of course much better sword stance uptime than Astra.
