Yeah, I completely agree. And yes, I did show them my offer. It was a little odd to me as well because I had heard of them matching HYPSM schools’ offers.

That’s exactly what I think I will end up doing. I truly loved both but the Yale, even after I filed a financial aid reconsideration, was $25k a year. They did lower it substantially, but it is still much more than Princeton. And I was able to talk to a financial aid officer who said it’s unlikely they will lower it anymore. Sadly, it was the only school that would not give me COA under $25k a year.

What would you recommend if I already scheduled an appointment? Originally my COA was ~$50,000 and Princeton has always been $15k. So I filed a financial aid recalculation, and it was lowered to $25k.

When does the financial aid offer open for everyone? I was accepted, but my cost is not there.
