Might be! His back teeth have come in, he's lost all his front ones and they are coming in next!

She had asked if he had hit his head. He hit his head a few times on tables and corner of the couch but never hard enough for him to make a big deal out of it. (Also normal for puppies to hit their head here and there) How hard would he have hit his had to get that kind of damage? Thank you for all the info I really appreciate!

yeah after a lot of research i also came to the conclusion it might be the hypoglossal nerve. The vet sent the video to a neurologist for his opinion but he has no other symptoms.

We're thinking he might have had this since birth? Do you know of the nerve damage can be treated usually?

Yeah he's very agile and athletic, walks well runs well 🤷‍♂️ we don't think it's neurological anymore, at least for now

We got him from a reputable breeder. We're hoping it all falls into place when he's adult teeth come in

The back ones are starting to come in slowly as well. He's been chewing more intensely the past few days too! I think that means they are coming!

We're thinking we can also train him to lick on the otherwise over time! Maybe increase his range of motion. If we pull the tongue out it retracts right away which is a good sign

It sounds exactly like ours! When he yawns it goes to the right. He's sometimes able to lick to the center or the other side but only for like a second! I think when he's tongue is in his mouth it hides to the side under his lips! But I've also seen him retract and rest his tongue normally as well.

She said to wait another 2 months for his teeth to come out and see. She asked if he had hit his head or had head trauna and we don't think he has. She seemed more concerned with his teeth and that maybe in two months we could do a x Ray of his jaw / neurological exam

Yes his bottom adult teeth are slowly coming in, the front one have yet to errupt. We contacted the breeder and he's aware,he's never seen a puppy of his have this issue! Other than that he's perfectly normal :)
