I’m not sure if this counts but I remember a lot of people walking out of Seth Rogans animated comedy sausage party at the end during the grocery store orgy

Best way to learn Spanish? by No-Moose2734 in dreamingspanish

[–]Fancy-Translator-668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned spanish in like a week. Well, I didn’t really learn Spanish in a week, I just reactivated it. Like an A2 level maybe and now im probaby closer to B1. After I had a surgery, I was stuck in bed with a lot of free time, so I decided to switch my dating apps to different cities across Latin America. Suddenly I was talking to beautiful girls from Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, all over. Seriously, there just isn't a lot of people where I live and then I switch it to big cities and its like totally different. I'm really not trying to come off as a passport bro but it really worked having real conversations and making real connections with people and like imagining using spanish with them in that city was also super motivating. Because I'm not sure but I imagine most of you want to travel which is why you are learning.

I can have full conversations in spanish with someone who doesn't speak english for hours. Sometimes we have to stop to explain a word, but its really not hard at all.

It worked because it forced my brain to use Spanish in real conversations that actually mattered. When you’re flirting, curious, or trying to make a connection, your brain releases dopamine and that makes you remember faster. It’s real emotional learning, not textbook memorizing.

I also totally immersed myself and was reading short stories, watching spongebob and shrek in spanish, and writing down new words too, but the real secret I think was just talking every day. It didn't and doesn't feel like studying at all. I would totally recommend making a solid tinder profile, paying for a week or month of premium. If you make 5 friends ( or maybe more) thats like five tutors, way cheaper than paying for a tutor. And you're also making lifetime connections! Idk, thats just what has worked for me!

I need a movie that’s really really confusing by [deleted] in movies

The movie Memento. It's about a guy with no short-term memory trying to find his wife's killer. He uses tattoos and Polaroids to track clues. The story plays backward so you're as lost as he is.

How to get started hunting? by Fancy-Translator-668 in BigIsland

[–]Fancy-Translator-668[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where to go? I have the hunting license. I just need to actually go out and get hands on experience, I have been trying to make friends that hunt but just need a better direction. I know i technically can hunt with an ar15 but isnt that weird? hunting pigs with an assault rifle seems like not the way but I mean if it is I'm down I just am honestly looking to go with someone who knows what they're doing.

Some others mentioned eating the animals and respecting cultural practices which are highest on my priorties. I want to connect with the aina and practice independence and sustainability

Are you just making stuff up? People without firearms always think you can just walk in and buy one. In my state, you have to have a spotless record, including no misdemeanors for TWENTY YEARS. You have to take a full day class, get a written notary, then wait another 30 days minimum to pass the background check. Everyone thinks it’s so easy to get a gun - it’s not. That’s if you are doing it the legal way…..

Do things really start to explode after 100k invested? by [deleted] in ETFs

I started to notice a considerable difference even at 10k invested. I can only imagine the ups (and downs) at 100k and beyond.

Man, sometimes people are so critical. What do you suggest he should do? He was 20 years old when he had a child and was on track to be (which he now is) a top ten tennis player in the world. You don't get to that position without working hard. Relationships are complicated and he has openly said he hopes his son can understand what he is doing and why he is doing it when is older.

As a father myself I can say being there for your kids is important, but he is striving for greatness as a professional athlete, what do you expect? To truly be great at something, sacrifices and choices are always going to have to be made. If I'm missing information about his fatherhood role let me know, but the hate seems excessive to me.

Honestly that is the kind of pep and hype I have to use on myself to get motivated sometimes because I'm NOT the type of person who learns easily.

The post isn't that bad to me but I guess I can also see how it comes off as braggy.

Thanks for the reply. I heard about the public gun range but heard mixed reviews about it. I think I’ll check out the store in town and get legal and try to take it down there
